This property was amazing. I have a large family with many children, and there was plenty of space for everyone. The view was spectacular; we woke up to the sound of the ocean and ended each day watching the sunset and whales breaching. While my kids loved the heated pool and jacuzzi, they spent most of their time surfing and looking for turtles on the beach. Additionally, the kitchen provided ample space to cook large meals and gather as a family. We always stay in Kihei because it matches the relaxed atmosphere we look for in Hawaii, and this is by far the best accommodation we have found in the area.
It was a wonderful property for our family of 6 to share-The lanaii views of the water and sunsets are amazing-The kitchen was spacious -accomodated all of nicely for cook-outs from the grills on the grounds.Totally enjoyed our beach walks from the property -pool and sauna nice -and the atmosphere is very family oriented.Highly recommend!
The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The unit is older, but had been updated, but needs some TLC. The A/C in the kitchen as so loud that we couldnât easily hear one another talk. The cleanliness was on the edge of being unacceptable. Fingerprints on glass table and door wall. One toilet had not been cleaned. Article of clothing and dirty paper towel on the patio. Iâm sure the owners pays substantially for the service, but they need to complaint or get a different service. I could add more, but Iâm sure you get the picture. The towels were wonderful and beautifully white.
BEAUTIFUL VIEW. Great to see the ocean and sunset from a spacious balcony. Large open kitchen and living room had plenty of space. The grass was like a golf green, perfectly manicured. Everything very clean. We loved our stay!
We had some slight difficulties getting our pool fob the first morning because we didnât contact security the previous evening. We werenât aware that security doesnât respond in the mornings so we had to wait until 12:30 when the office opened. We also had an issue with the master bathroom shower head leaking but after reaching out to our contact it was quickly fixed. The only other criticism would be that the floors could use a good deep cleaning and the living room AC and clothes washer are super loud. Otherwise everything was positive. My favorite part was the patio with a spectacular view. We greatly enjoyed watching the sunset every evening. The beachfront and pool were top notch. Our family greatly enjoyed our time there and created memories to last a lifetime!
1st impression very nice update. Enough space for all 8 of us. Everybody said their beds were comfy.Master Bedroom sheets were too small. They would not stay on the mattress. That room needs a night light for safety. Maybe all bedrooms too!The kids and those adults who went barefoot on the first day. Their feet were black from the floors! The rusted out toilet brush in the hall bathroom. Needs to be replaced. I was the only one who used the coffee pot. One morning I found it cracked. I texted the owners. No answer from them at all. We still had 2 mornings there. I thought that was very rude not to respond at all!The Maui Sunset property is very beautiful with a ton of things to do there! The sunsets beautiful! The beach right there perfect! We love Kihei!
The unit was great. The only thing that stunk was a universal software issue that caused our flight to be canceled. We couldn't get to Maui for 2 more days than intended and we had to pay a great deal more to even go at all. We reached out to see if they would work with us a little on the reservation, with no response.
Close to shopping and restaurants in the Kihei area, easy to find. Enjoyed seeing some honu on the beach, lovely views from our patio and primary suite.
The unit was beautiful, well supplied and clean. The location and ease of access is wonderful. Very easy access to a nice little beach where we saw three sea turtles. However you will want some sort of water shoes as there is a lot of coral under the water. The amenities are excellent at the property, pool, tennis courts, etc. We will certainly plan to stay again at the Maui Sunset!
We stayed in this unit for a week with a family of 4 teenagers and 2 adults and the condo was very comfortable, clean, and well equipped. There could be more basic kitchen essentials like spices, oil and plastic wrap, Tupperwares however. It is costly to buy all of those for only a week stay.
There were beach chairs, snorkling, body board and pool equipment available. No cooler.
The grounds surrounding the condo are beautifully maintained.
Excellent restaurants and grocery stores very near by.
Overall are very pleasant place to stay.
We were a group of two families including 5 adults and 5 children (ages 4-11) and the condo felt spacious enough for all of us. Loved the modern open concept kitchen/living room with massive island for everyone to eat around. Living room furnishings were slightly different than pictured in listing. Now has a large sectional instead of sofa and chairs. Enough utensils and dinnerware for the whole group, including plastic items for the keikis. Bed linens were fresh, plenty of bath towels and wash cloths. Pool towels starting to show some wear and tear. Beds were average comfort. As other reviews mentioned, bunk beds were squeaky when kids tossing and turning. Even though we didnât feel unsafe in the unit, we didnât like how there is a sliding door that leads to the outside hallway in the bunk bed room. The neighbors were changing theirs out to a window, maybe this unit will do the same in the future. Bathrooms were small but clean and modern. Great location, easy drive to grocery store, restaurants/food trucks, and Ululaniâs. Pool area a little small for the amount of units that share it, but could always find a place to sit. Enjoyed learning to play shuffleboard. Beach is rocky for swimming, but nice for walking. We saw a huge honu on the beach on our last day! We had a couple questions for the owner during and after our stay and he usually took more than 24 hours to respond, luckily nothing was urgent. Overall, would consider staying here again if traveling with large group.
The unit was in a perfect spot for the amazing sunsets, plenty of room for 6 adults and a toddler. Centrally located to most stores, the pool and beach area all well looked after. Would definitely come back
Two families with young children. We loved the open feel and huge kitchen in the condo. The pool and amenities were great and we loved being on the park, plenty of space for the kids to run around.
Our stay was fine. The actual building is pretty run down, the upgrade to the condo itself was fine. Rooms are spacious (aside from the bunk room) The bunks are metal framed & VERY squeaky (if you have light sleepers, not ideal) The views from the patio are spectacular! The grounds are very active, lots of families, AA meetings, and it turns in to an off-leash dog park in the afternoons. Located right next to Public Beach access so many people there to watch sunset etc.. The Beach is great for walking, not swimming. Saw many turtles swimming off shore. Note, there are a few homeless camps just down the beach. We had almost ZERO communication from the property managers. 2 of 3 emails went completely unanswered. Close proximity to stores & restaurants. Plenty of parking.
The unit and property were as advertised. The unit was on the fourth floor which gave beautiful views of the property , ocean and sunsets . The property itself was very well maintained! They cleaned the pool each morning and its upkeep is obviously a priority. Would stay there again for sure .
