Good setting

Set just off the roadside in the attractive small town of Kingussie, this hotel is quite old, large and stereotypical in its highland setting, within the Cairngorm National Park. It has a number of large rooms, including a ballroom, used for entertainment as well as functions, a large dining-room with faux Highland scenes along the wall, and a separate L shaped Ghillie's bar, which serves food as well as a couple of Cairngorm beers, essential to this reviewer! My bedroom was comfortable and clean, a decent size. I chose to eat in the Ghillie's bar, and had a tasty steak, of a surprisingly large size given the price. Breakfast the next day was traditional, with all the usual on offer. Good value for money, this hotel is popular with coach parties.

Hotel is fine it is also near to road & rail sys

Pros: Breakfast
Cons: TV & wifi service
Location: good centre point to all areas
Great for getting around surrounding area ,very quite at night no traffic sounds
