The home itself is beautiful, and we truly enjoyed our stay in Duck. The property is well-maintained, the amenities are lovely, and the rooms are comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. It was a great place for our family to spend the week. The pool, patio and beach access were all amazing!That said, there were several smaller issues throughout our stay that made the experience feel a little less relaxing than we had hoped, especially given the price point. Shortly after arrival, we had to report a number of maintenance items, including a loose stove knob, broken mini blinds in the kitchen, doors on the second and third floors that stuck and difficult to open from the inside, and a kitchen exhaust fan that did not work. None of these issues individually were major, but together they became a bit frustrating and meant we had workers in and out during our stay, the internet went out for a couple of days as well.One suggestion that would have been especially helpful is providing clearer information in the listing about what supplies are (and are not) included. We were surprised to find that only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom and that there were no toiletries, hand soap, dish soap, or even basic kitchen staples like spices. We’ve stayed in many vacation rentals where at basics are available, so knowing in advance that we needed to bring absolutely everything would have made arrival much easier.Overall we were pleased, it is a lovely property.
