This little place was perfect for our graduation weekend visit. It was super clean and had everything we needed for the weekend. The owner greeted us personally, and we felt right at home. Thank you!
Kathy was wonderful and responsive and kind enough to give us a garden tour at the end of our stay. Great location and cute bungalow for weekend getaways. Thank you, Kathy!
This house was so warm and welcoming. It had everything we needed. Those beds were so comfortable and much needed after long days of training for our young dancers. The owner was super communicative and responded to all requests quickly. I have one complaint- the ad said it was under 10 minutes to the venue but it was a solid 15 -- I know it's nit picky but 5 minutes in the morning is much needed when wrangling a couple of teens in the early morning. I loved the quiet, serene mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee. The rain shower was a bonus and the fully equipped kitchen made prepping meals so easy.
We had 4 adults stay for 2 nights to visit UTK for a football game. This was a great place to stay. The house was adoreable, clean, and very convenient to the university. The biggest stand out was the home owner, Kathy. She is incredibly friendly and helpful. She gave us great recommendations and helped us out with a few requests. I highly recommend staying here.
Perfect stay, very clean, owner communicative and attentive, easy check in and out, great location near campus while we visited our son. Would definitely stay again!
We totally enjoyed our visit to Knoxville. Lovely home. The owner, Kathy, was a great hostess. The home is as listed very comfortable beds, very clean, very quiet. We highly recommend this "peaceful hillside haven".
Such an easy place to stay. Enjoyed the change of weather in the evenings and mornings on the outdoor space. Cozy and clean inside. Plan to stay here on return visits to see our daughter.
We very much enjoyed our stay here. The only thing we didnât care for were the lack of towels. They seemed to be more like throw blankets than towels and no absorption. I would definitely tag here again and bring my own towels.
This was a great place to stay. It was very quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfortable. The shower was great for a tall person. The essential oil diffuser was a nice added touch.
We enjoyed visiting the Smoky Mountain National Park and Pigeon Forge which were not too far away.
My daughter and I stayed for a number of events at the University and at the Convention Center. We loved the cottage. Many small details made it very comfortable, it was very clean, and the area was quiet. We were very convenient to downtown, UT, and the river. Kathy was a great host. Iâd definitely stay again.
My family our four stayed for a quick night on our way to Hilton Head. Perfect halfway point and cozy place to stay to get some rest before we hit the road again. Would stay again :)
We enjoyed our weekend in Knoxville while staying at Kathy's vacation rental. The property was easy to find -- just a short drive from downtown, and the check in information that was provided made the process quick and easy. The home was clean, cute and cozy. It looked exactly as pictured on line -- a setting both quiet and peaceful.
Hillside Haven is a cozy cottage tucked into the property's back lot. It's a very cute cottage, updated nicely and is very clean. Full kitchen with nice pots and pans and kitchen supplies. The beds are comfortable and closets spacious. If you are looking for a quiet, wooded get away and to still be close to anything you need, this is the place! The owner, Kathy, is gracious and very attentive to communication. Outstanding value !
My family really enjoyed our stay at Kathyâs place! The unit was clean and beautifully and thoughtfully stocked. It was plenty of space for our young family of 4. It didnât have a designated eating area, which was fine for our group since we almost exclusively ate out, but might be a deterrent for others. We were also a little nervous driving on the skinny, winding roads leading up to the property, but we ultimately had no issues getting to the property. We desperately needed to do some laundry, and Kathy was kind enough to allow us to use a washer/dryer outside the unitâsomething she definitely did not have to do. We would stay here again!
My husband, son and I came to Knoxville for my oldest sonâs graduation. We were only a 10 minute drive to campus, which was great! We didnât spend much time at the cottage besides sleeping, but the beds were really comfortable! Our other son is now in Knoxville for his summer internship and we will definitely stay here again if we end up visiting in June or July!
The host has done a terrific job with decorating details and special features, like honey and lemon for tea. It was very quiet and peaceful, yet close to restaurants and grocery store. We enjoyed the places the host suggestedâKern Food Hall and Wild Love Bakehouse. đ
