After a bad start, we enjoyed our stay.
The problem: I emailed Vacasa asking for an early checkin. They replied that they would email me if an early checkin was possible. At 3:00pm I received an email from Vacasa apologising for the unsatisfactory cleaning. We rushed over thinking that we might have to clean ourselves. On arrival the cleaner was there and knew nothing about the email. She said she needed 20 minutes to finish and gave us towels to head to the pool. My husband and I walked back 20 minutes later, she was driving away but stopped and told us it was ready. We went up and now the supervisor was there, she told us it wasn't ready and called her boss. She gave me the phone to talk to the boss, who was very rude, accused me of arriving early while check in was at 4:00, she said she was going to ask the supervisor to leave and sounded like we were going to be refused entry and would have to find somewhere else. I argued with her over the phone, told her about the email (she said it had nothing to do with her, she was in charge of the cleaners) I told her the cleaner had told us it was ready. Again she got nasty and acused me of entering the unit before it was ready (we had asked the cleaner if we could put our perishables in the fridge, she had said it was okay). Overall, it was a horrible experience, arriving from Kona at 10:30, grocery shopping and getting supplies, receiving the email indicating the unit would not be clean, and in the end, 20 min early!
