Really exceptional stay

The home was really nice. The location is also excellent. The check in process was super easy. The only issue was the bathroom was on the first floor but the bedroom is on the second floor. So if you have to use the bathroom at night, you have to go down the stairs.

Loved the atmosphere and location, would definitely stay here again or at another machiya holiday house location! I misunderstood about the bedding and thought that the traditional Japanese bedroom was the default, so I was slightly disappointed when I realized that the western bedroom was the one that was prepared. But that's my fault for not clarifying ahead of time, and we still found the western beds to be very comfortable.

Great little house

Lovely little house in a good location. It can get a bit cold but there are heaters in the main rooms which make it nice and cosy. Would definitely return

Superbe petite maison

Il s'agit d'une Guest House très confortable et très bien située à KYOTO. La maison est neuve et offre un décors traditionnel avec toutefois un équipement très moderne. Le ménage est fait tous les jours. Le propriétaire de la maison est très sympathique et disponible. En ce qui me concerne, j'ai été malade durant mon séjour et c'est le propriétaire de la Guest House qui s'est chargé de faciliter toutes les démarches et qui s'est rendu disponible bien au-delà de ce que l'on attendait. La maison étant située dans une petite ruelle, je vous recommande d'y aller en Taxi la première fois, ou de faire prévenir le propriétaire de l'heure de votre arrivée afin qu'il vous attende dans la rue principale.
