Amenities are not great- no lotion at all which was odd. Staff overall not very helpful- would not assist with ordering a can for us and check in, which was supposed to be self service took over 20 minutes. That being said, the location is terrific so that makes up for a lot.

We booked 2 Superior Twin Rooms. The rooms were quite clean, the bathroom was very nice, and the hotel provided water bottles on the first day. The hotel has a great location if you are planning to spend a lot of time near Sanjo-dori and Shinkyogoku Shopping Street (within walking distance). There's plenty to do in this area with a number of great restaurants (including halal ones!).

We a Loved our stay at Cross Hotel. The property is amazing and in a fantastic area. So much is walkable and the transit system is super easy to use for day trips. The room is fabulous with super comfortable beds. The buffet breakfast each day was fantastic! Highly recommend including it in your stay. We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Kyoto.

Good size room for a Japanese hotel. The staff were wonderful. We had breakfast for one of our stay and there were many choices to choose from. We took the taxi to most of the places we wanted to visit and the cost was pretty reasonable for a party of four. We would most definitely stay here again for future trips.
