Walking distance to Kyoto Station, even with luggage generally, only about 4 blocks away. Very modern and comfortable lobby, dining and room.

The Kyoto Station was near by which allows easy access to trains, Shinkansen, metro buses and tour buses. The room was very clean with routine house keeping. Dining staff were a bit snippy.

This is a chic and luxurious hotel. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Quiet aircon. Responsive staff. Wide ranging high quality breakfast. I’m marking down because of the lack of a laundry - which seems to be typical for Mercure Hotels. I wish they would fix that and then I’d have no hesitation in marking them as excellent, and returning.

Not your typical Japan micro hotel rooms, they were spacious similar to American hotels. Distance from Kyoto train station a little farther than expected….a full 10 min walk for sure…not easy with luggage.
