Atrium/lobby area is open air so quite hot in the summer. I would assume it is cold in the Winter also. The free welcome drinks daily, the make your own hand dripped coffee and larger than normal size room make up for it though…

Very convenient for travelling within Kyoto and taking the Shinkansen given the proximity to Kyoto Station. Welcome drinks were a nice bonus. The laundry units are good but dryers are often occupied. I would recommend drying or doing laundry at local laundromats to avoid waiting

The room was nice and clean, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. However, when we checked in, the staff did not like that we had 5 friends staying the same days in separate rooms, and they told us to never do that again.

The public bath was great, loved the cold plunge feature. My wife was disappointed There is no cold plunge in the womens public bath. The breakfast was fantastic with so many options, highly recommend at least once. Dinner options were few. The pillows are tiny and rock hard. We should have requested additional pillowsl. Location was perfect and there is alot to do. Kyoto was definitely the best out of Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto trip. I would have spent more days there had i known better.

Great location and convenient to get around Kyoto.

The hotel is located not too far behind the Kyoto station but enough distance to get away from the noise and busy traffic. It’s convenient to get around Kyoto and nearby sights. The amenities are not fancy but comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again.

This place has a hostel vibe with it’s decor and facilities. North and south buildings are open air and rooms doors swing out. Rooms are small, plain and very basic, with no safe and very few charging ports. Beds are terrible with cheap mattresses. Did not enjoy my stay for the price or comfort. Photos are real but deceptive. One nice thing about this place is the breakfast, and free coffee in lobby.

The location is great , hotel amenities like the bath house /sauna and breakfast buffet along with free cocktail drinks in the evening with daily entertainment are awesome . I did not expect all of these with the rate that I paid. Will come back to this hotel in the future when go to Kyoto again.

Great Hotel!!

The stay here at Sakura Terrace was amazing! Staff is very polite and very helpful. Room has a decent size, bigger than my last two hotels in Japan. Dinner and mixed drinks are great with the live music they have everyday. The location is really good, it’s about a 2 minute walk from the Kyoto station. Thank you so much! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Japan.

Some of the staff were not helpful at all when it came to me figuring out how to send my luggage to my next hotel. The night before I checked out, I asked and was told to scan a QR code and to figure it out. I told them the size of my luggage to get an estimate price and they just told me come back later.
