Arrival was great. We had a great experience . Hit water was broken and they kindly change us room . No drinking water at rooms for free so you have to prepare . Overall great experience.

Okay unit for the price.

Apartment in a quiet area, close to station and convenient store. Comfortable beds with the exception of the sofa bed which as very uncomfortable. Mini fridge was a plus. Unit was very tight for three even for Japan standards. No space for luggage. Carpet was stained throughout the unit. Walls had pen marks. Overall okay.

It’s pretty far away from subway station. Went as a family trip with stroller and kids it was at least a 10-15 minute walk to closest station. Staff don’t speak English so be sure to have translation app ready. They don’t make sure bed or clean the rooms on a daily and will charge you a fee if you need anything extra. The beds were comfy and it’s nice to have a laundry machine just inside your suit, however no dryer so make sure you time air drying. There’s a mini kitchen so if you’re looking to stay awhile this is a great hotel if you don’t mind the walk. Family mart and 7/11 just 3-5 mins walk away.

This is my first time in Japan and Im definitely coming back and staying at Stay Sakura. The staff is so friendly and the place is so comfortable and clean. I love the location. 10 our of 10 for sure!

A cold water morning

No hot water the first morning. There’s a button panel in the kitchen you were supposed to push to start the heater. No signage, no explanation. How are you supposed to know that? Also, Taxi drivers had difficulty finding the hotel, even with their card map

Close to restaurants, convenience stores & subway stations. Big spacious room with couches, fridge, microwave, cooking utensils & washing machine. Good size bathroom & strong shower. They charge you for all the little extras in the room (water, tea & coffee etc) if you use it, so bring your own. They do leave you detergent for 2 washes tho. You need to empty your own bins. The foyer area stank like insect repellent but the room was fine.

Pros: The property was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to Nijo Castle and there were convenience stores nearby. Staff were pleasant. It was very quiet. It was also very handy having a washing machine. Cons: The heating was almost impossible to work out, despite instructions. I very much disliked not having windows that could be seen out of - the room felt like a cell as it was very dark. It really affected me and I disliked being in the room. I do think this should be made clear in the property description.

A little gem

Well designed to feel spacious with so many amenities in a small space. The location is wonderful. Made a lovely home away from home. We appreciated the lack of intrusive daily housekeeping (it was immaculate upon arrival), the basket of towels (nice thin cotton ones, but no face cloths, so bring your own), the packets of instant coffee and creamer and sugar, green tea bags, bottled water and electric tea kettle, not to mention fridge, stove and microwave (which we were not there long enough to make use of). The soaker tub was too small to stretch out in but the sit down shower and was hung products were delightful. Wish the toilets had English for the various buttons but we sort of figured out how to use the sprays. Nice! Would stay again if we ever get back.
