The hotel was ok. The location in La Fortuna was right downtown which was convenient to walk to various places. With a car rental they had a lot 2 blocks away that was in a secured fence except for the gate as it was the only area not protected by barbed wire. The beds were not comfortable at all.The appearance of them and the box sprnig was dated to over 25 years of age. There were not drawers to place your belongings. The outdoor patio amplified noise from the street. And a little think like asking for a hair dryer netted one that was old with broken prongs and it was very very low power. A new hair dryer in CR was about $15. If advertising they are there on request, they should get new ones. There is no hot water dispenser or coffee maker in the room, no chairs to sit in and the TV was mounted about 13 feet up the wall. the plugs were few - 3 total and one was behind the bed. While the facility states they are eco friendly, it came across more a 'cheap'. On a good note, the owner was nice and kind and the breakfast was good.

Nice budget friendly hotel , although quite old but safe , clean and centrally located. Good if you’re on a tight budget but want to stay in the center of town , can walk to most shops and restaurants. Friendly staff

The hotel location is very central, great for walking to local restaurants. There was constant city noise though, with trucks and motorcycles at all hours of the night. The balcony room offered a great view, however, the room itself is quite dated. The shower head was corroded and the shower doors did not slide or stay shut properly. The pillows had very strange hard small lumps, like pieces of bones. The sleep quality was poor when you combine the noise and pillows. Breakfast was good most days, hit or miss with some items like the pancakes.

We had to change the room 3 times, there was problem with shower water not flowing on the shower but rather on the bottom spout, didn’t get hot water in the shower and TV was not available in English. It was too noisy at night. Staff was very nice and tried to be helpful with all the issues. I also wish they offer variety in their breakfast. This property should be remodeled.

Place is conveniently located. Walking distance to everything. Market at corner. Staff was great. Breakfast was limited but coffee was great each morning. 2nd floor patio was great with view of volcano and to grab fresh air. Downside was noise. Quite noisy in the AM didn't bother us too much as we were usually out early for out tours. Would stay again

1000000% recommended. Everyone was super nice and very accommodating to our two year old son. One of the staff even gave him a yellow balloon with a string to play with when she saw him crying. Ample space for my som to run around, close to everything you need, nice restaurant on the main floor, and comfy room with large windows to let natural light in. They are very patient with families and that for us was really appreciated!!!

Our room had vie of the volcano 👍 you'll hear traffic especially motorcycles til midnight, after that really quiet.If it's raining heavily,no traffic noise at all👍 overall a good and central place in La Fortuna.
