Always love vacation on Madeline Island. Unit is not new or modern but is super comfortable, spacious for a large family, and well appointed (which is a real plus on an island). Great sunsets, fun retro / artsy decor, close to La Pointe town. Friendly neighbors. Would happily stay again.
We loved staying at the Superior Spot. It was the perfect place for a family get-away - well-equipped kitchen, beautiful location, comfortable beds. It was great.
My family and I had a great stay. The townhouse had all the necessary amenities, and was nicely located on the golf course, which we played a round. We were able to take some walks around the immediate area. Big Bay State Park was a short drive away. It has a nice central location.
The townhouse has an old school feel. Hope was a very nice host.
Great location, love Madeline island. The house fit all ten of us easily. Our only complaint was that the listing said beachfront and it definitely wasnât beachfront.
The townhome is conveniently located on Madeline Island, walking distance to town and the fairy. The interior is dated BUT spacious for families. We enjoyed the location and having our own space on the island as a home base to expand out for activities like the beach, kayaking, and boating. Hope stayed In communication and was easy to deal with before, during, and after our stay. Very nice overall.
The location of this property, on the golf course
and close to where other family members were staying, was perfect for us.
We enjoyed our stay in this family friendly unit.
The condo had almost everything we needed,
except the master bedroom closet was locked
and there was no place to hang our clothes.
The condo decor was dated, but its collection
of woodsy North Shore artifacts from the past
was intriguing.
Broken furniture- chair in second bedroom and bed tied together and fell apart when I sat in the bed. Very poor lighting and not all lamps worked- overhead, light above stove was burnt out and lamp in living room was floppy. The kitchen was not very clean and there were a number of dirty dishes in the cupboards. The location was great. I hope the place can have a deep cleaning before the next group arrives.
My group has been going to Madeline Island for 35 years. This property was perfect for us. Loved the spiral staircase to the hidden bunk bedroom. Enjoyed coffee on the private deck off the master bedroom.
However, the unit could use some maintenance. The sliding glass door off the kitchen stuck and even came off the tract. So we were unable to use it. The deck had some rotting boards. The unit was clean and comfortable but noted large cobwebs in upper windows and mouse droppings behind TV on lower level. The coffee maker needed a good cleaning. We found some vinegar, it took some doing, but it now works.
Overall, was a great space, and per usual, had a great time on the Island.
We enjoyed are stay again. We did have one encounter with neighbor. Our kids were playing outside on Tuesday night until 8. They were having races. He complained to my husband that they were too noisy. He couldnât hear his tv. All nights everything was quiet usually by 9 pm because children were in bed. The only night anyone was up later was Friday night when the adults played a game. Also when son did laundry he said there was a bucket downstairs for a leak. He did empty this but wanted me to share with you.
A great place for a family get-away plenty of space for everyone to have fun, share family time and yet find some space for quiet time. We had a multi-generational family group and it worked perfectly for everyone! our grandkids especially loved the fourth level bedroom where they had a place of their own - our granddaughter immediately asked if we could come back every year! An open concept dining room - kitchen space offered us room to continue the fun while making meals and eating which worked great for a family that loves to cook together! We loved our time there and highly recommend it for a family vacation!!
