The house was beautiful, the beach was amazing and the ocean was great for swimming and playing. We also rented ATVs for our stay and it was tons of fun driving them into La Ribera for meals and groceries. We also took them as far as Los Barriles just for fun and had lunch! We would be happy to come back anytime!
This is a place of serenity and beauty and calm. The hosts have thought of so many details that make the home both functional, and completely pleasing to the eye. They are responsive, like a good concierge and they make the experience just wonderful.
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Las Estrellas. The house is beautiful & modern, clean and well stocked. Randi provided plenty of information about the area, where to eat and things to do. She recommended a local woman to cook dinner for us which worked out great. There are not too many dining options in La Ribera so plan on a lot of meals at the house. The Four Seasons is nearby and there are many dining options there. We were two families and the house provided plenty of space for everyone. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi and fire pits as the evenings are cool in the winter. I would definitely recommend a stay a Casa Las Estrellas.
We had a wonderful time. The house is gorgeous and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Randi was attentive and always available for all my questions. The beach so clean and the ocean so calm and warm it was like walking into a bath tub! The area is remote and quiet but just 15 minutes to the Four Seasons. Just be sure to make a reservation as they have strict security. Randi recommended Rolo for a chef and he was fantastic!
I also recommend setting up grocery delivery ahead of time. We will definitely be back for more r and r!
The house is even more stunning in person than in the pictures. We loved the modern decor, open floor plan, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. The beach and unobstructed ocean views were fabulous. Lots of beautiful sunsets. Ocean was calm until a storm came in. The kitchen is fully stocked with tons of appliances, gadgets, utensils, spices, condiments plus more. The pool and spa were clean and not overly chlorinated. There's a double kayak, paddle board and lots of pool toys. Couldn't find an air pump for the underinflated innertubes so it would be nice if there was one. The only issue I would warn guests of is that the last few miles to the house is dirt roads and the driving conditions are hazardous after and during heavy rains. Definitely need an SUV/Jeep if it rains moderately and 4x4 would also help. We fished tailed a few times even in an SUV 4x4. Finally, the nearest town, La Ribera, is still pretty undeveloped. Mostly dirt roads (the one Google map directed us onto was severely flooded). Don't follow Google map route. Take the paved hwy along the southern border of town until you see a dirt road that is almost perpendicular to where the house is located and then use that dirt road. Also, get groceries near the airport. There are only mini-marts in La Ribera and slim pickings in terms of groceries and restaurants.
We stayed for a week in Las estrellas with family from Germany, and it is an amazing house. There is not a single thing I can say is wrong. One must stay here. The house is far from the little town, and it is verrrry safe. You can do long walks by the beach or stay late at night looking at the clear stars. The house has everything needed for staying, including showering, cooking, and washing clothing. We have stayed in many houses in Europe, and this is by far the best house. The only advice I will give you is that if you need to buy big groceries, you can do it in Chedraui, not Soriana. Very important. there is one close to the airport.
And the in La Ribera town there are many many little mini supers, where you can buy almost everything. So no need to travel back far. All people in two were ver friendly and helpful.
The host is super friendly and give answers within 1-3 hours.
If you want to watch whales, sometimes in front of the house. Otherwise, ask a friend from host (Trino). We as a family of 7 with 2 kids, jumped on his boat, and he took us to see whales very close. We will def. come back. It is worth every penny. Also, we recommend driving with a SUV or 4x4, it is much more easier for the off road.
Casa Las Estrellas is the most gorgeous beach home sitting right on the most beautiful sandy beach. The home is extremely well designed and furnished. You immediately feel at home and comfortable as soon as you pull up and walk inside. the kitchen has all you need to prepare meals or have a chef do the work as we did on our vacation. we hired Chef Norma, she is wonderful! Each bedroom has a very comfortable bed and a very spacious well designed bathroom just like the rest of the house is. we used the nice outdoor BBQ area several times. the back patio has a great dining and sitting areas to enjoy the views and sunsets. the pool and jacuzzi are icing on the cake for this great beachfront set up. Randi is an excellent owner/host! we really appreciate her sharing her beautiful home so others can enjoy this paradise so comfortably. Our family of four had a wonderful experience during our stay at Casa Las Estrellas. the only bad part of the trip was having to leave! Mike and Ana-Scottsdale, AZ
