Nice, pet friendly hotel. Plenty of space for peepee in the back area. Room was updated, new carpet, excellent. Water hot, great pressure. Clean new towels. Cold fridge.
Great stay the bed was fabulous didnât want to get up from it. I think it has been renovated and the towels were soft and fluffy like a five star hotel..
The biggest problem was the pool wasn't open the whole weekend for maintenance. We were told the water turns green everytime it rains (that's a lot). The kids were miserable because people were swimming in neighboring hotel. Also the bed and bathroom were clean but other furniture and carpet was pretty dingy.
Do not stay here. There was dry paint that was dripping down the walls. Mildew was on the chair and walls. The curtains were ripped, and the shower curtain reeked of cigarette smoke. The mirrors were dirty, and there was no hot water in the shower. Other reviewers were NOT honest at all.
Our stay at this hotel was disappointing to say the least. Our bathtub did not drain, and it took 2 days for someone to come fix it. My husband and I went to purchase a bottle of bleach just so we could clean the tub due to it not draining properly. The sheets on the bed were not changed at all during our 3 night stay. The room was always humid, and the carpeting was also very moist at one point during our stay. The sheer curtain was taped to the window with a piece of masking tape. Breakfast was disappointing as well, which prompted us to eat elsewhere. Unfortunately our experience at this hotel was awful, and definitely not worth what we paid per night.
I don't believe the Quality Inn headquarters has any idea about the condition of this place. If someone stayed at the LaPlace location and assumed all other Quality Inn's were similar, that would be a shame. The lobby smells like a urinal. The room we had was filthy, although the bed sheets seemed clean and the bathroom was wiped down. We struggled to find outlets that worked. The hairdryer plug was just waiting to electrocute someone. It seemed to be a good place for local road workers to stay so I felt safe. It also may be a full time residence for many. The water was hot and pressure was good. The people at the front counter were very nice. We were wary of the breakfast so ate elsewhere. I certainly realize that there is a motel for everyone but based for the overall review of 3.5 out of 5, I though this would be decent. I would not characterize that way. It should be a $35 per night place to stay. I hate to write a review this bad, but I depend on these sites to steer me to places I feel comfortable staying.
This is an older motel with two floors and no elevator, but it has been renovated and is in decent condition. Rooms open directly to the outside. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and offered both hot and cold items. Not much nearby I-10, restaurants and stores are within a few minutes drive. This was one of the lowest price hotels in the area.
Our stay was good. On the outside as we drove up it didn't look good but once we got inside our room it was ok. Only thing we were afraid to use the refrigerator it had brown stricks on the front of the door
Very aged, itâs kept up at bare minimum. Iâve stayed in way worse. Iâm not displeased, will stay there again. They let me and my family borrow a stapler for tagging my luggage for our cruise. That was very nice of them. Overall Iâd give it 5 out of 10. Paid around $100. close to New Orleans so I canât complain to much. Thank you
Front desk staff who greeted us was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was updated, but worn. Several areas could use a little attention, in terms of cleanliness and repair. Very strong cleaning odor when we arrived and scratchy sheets. But it was fine for one night and parking was plentiful and felt safe.
Room was clean but basic. Nice to have some grounds to sit in by pool. Good stopping off point but not much else round here. Nowhere to eat other than fast food.
