Very nice house in a scenic neighborhood. Good for large gatherings with friends and family. Has a basement stocked with plenty of board games and toys for kids to stay busy and a comfortable living room/dining area for adults to sit and chat. Owner is very responsive to all inquiries and clearly maintains the property very well.

Relaxing weekend

The hostess Cathleen was amazing
very responsive to questions, helpful, accommodating! The house was nice..the living space was smaller in real life than it seemed in pictures but still met our needs with no issues!! The bedrooms, bathrooms, floors were clean. The kitchen was fully stocked, though some of the utensils/ pans could be replaced. The kids enjoyed the downstairs which had a kid-sized pool table, a tv and plenty of games. We missed a tv in the general living room! The Hideout Community was nice..we utilized the ski hill for snow tubing, ate at the ski grill (which needs a larger seating area!!) and the Bistro. The community is very close to nice restaurants , drug stores, gas stations and a grocery store!We enjoyed our time away and would stay again!!

Great

We had another house booked that canceled 2 days before we left. Cathleen was incredible assisting us getting booked last minute and great with communication the whole weekend. Great house. Looked as is in the pictures. I don't remember seeing a karaoke machine listed on the game room and there was one so that's neat if you're into it.No major complaints. I'd go 45 over 4 if I could. Little things that I'd prefer another way but didn't really affect the weekend? The pool table is a kids table. If you're like us and like to shoot a game or two its something to be aware of but it was good reason to get out of the house. The community its in is a little strict compared to what we're used to. Again, not the end of the world. Just a minor thing keeping it from a full 5 stars. But I couldn't have asked for more from Cathleen and the house itself. And she left a little welcome basket. Cute

Relaxing Stay

My family and I had an amazing stay. There was so much space in the house that allowed everyone to have their own space and relaxation. The checkin process was easy and well described. Lastly, the customer service is amazing!! Any issue we had Cathleen was responsive and accommodating. We will be back and this was definitely a 5-star getaway!!

Family Vacation

We had a great time at the Rosewood last week. The house was very clean and spacious enough that all 9 of us had plenty of room. We especially loved the deck, fire pit and grill and used them every evening. Cathleen was very responsive with a community access issue and it was resolved very quickly. We all enjoyed our family vacation at this wonderful home.

Absolutely paradise, Cathleen was the best host, great communication and concern if we were happy and enjoying our choice of stay and accommodations. Very apologetic for Mother Nature when a storm ran through the town night before our stay. She stayed on top of our comfort and made sure power was reconnected before our arrival, even sent someone to the home to check on our accommodations and if we needed anything. My granddaughters loved the s’mores welcome basket waiting at the front door for us. Best choice picking this home, the host, the location, the home was a dream come true for us to celebrate our family being together sharing togetherness and making memories. Thank you, can’t wait till next time. 💜

Amazing stay on a bitterly cold weekend

I booked the Rosewood for my family and friends of ours with some hesitation as one of our friends is 6’9” and I hoped he would be comfortable. The pictures do not do this place justice. There was plenty of comfortable room for both of our families to enjoy time away together. Upon entering the house and after checking out each room I was so impressed by how clean the house was. I have never been able to say that in any rental I’ve stayed in before. The weekend of our stay the temps were in the single digits with maybe some negative numbers during the night. The house was adequately heated to our liking and the wood burning fireplace only made it even better. We had an amazing stay and our children (ages 8 and under) could not have had a better time. We enjoyed The Hideout as well as the tubing hill (we didn’t ski), which was not nearly as crowded as I have seen other tubing places in the poconos in years past. We hope we can return to the Rosewood again in the future. The hosts were wonderful to communicate with and prompt in all communication. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away!

Can't Wait to Come Back

This was our second time staying here and we couldn't have predicted that we would have an even better time than the first. The house was perfect, clean, and the owner really goes the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need. We had a nice relaxing trip enjoying fall activities with all our family and Cathleen gave us great suggestions for things to do. You can tell they are always adding new things and taking care of the house, so we couldn't be bored at all. We can't wait to go back!

The entire process of booking online is daunting but not with this property the owner made everything so easy and stress free for us. I don’t think there is a bad thing I could say about our entire trip the house was beautiful clean and had everything we needed and more traveling with 3 kids. Cathleen had even left us a little gift basket for s’mores to make with the kids and popcorn they really enjoyed the outdoor fire and playing games in the game room without a doubt the best experience I’ve we’ve had with renting we have already started to talk about our next trip back to the hideout we love it!

Very nice property

Very nice property in a nice community. Plenty of room for my family of 6 and 2 in laws. Great proximity to lake and pool. Easy check in process and communication with owner. We will keep this house in mind for next summer!

Great family vacation

The house was very clean and comfortable..... it had everything we needed and was exactly as listed. It was nice being so close to the pool and lake. It was only a short car ride to Lake Wallenpaupack and great dining. We enjoyed eating out on the deck and making smores at the fire pit. Plenty of seating. Cathleen was just a text away. She responded quickly and graciously. She made certain we were happy and provided all the info we needed. The booklet she put together was perfect and contained important info about the house and the area We also enjoyed the jacuzzi bathtub and the puzzles and games. Lovely home and nice and caring owner.

Kind Owner, Dirty House

The house was not clean. There was what appeared to be a lot of animal hair on the floor and furniture. We had a toddler with us, so that was a big issue. Additionally, their were crumbs on the sofa and all the window sills were very dusty. The kitchen cabinets had sticky dust on them and their were cobwebs all around the floor corners and ceilings. I did some cleaning up prior to the arrival of my children and grandchildren, but that's not what I expected to do. I eventually notified the owner who seemed to be surprised and she was very apologetic. She kindly refunded my cleaning fee and I appreciated the gesture. However, we still had a dirty house. The place needs a deep cleaning and not just a run through between guests.

Absolutely wonderful all around.

We could not have had a better stay! The communication from Cathleen was perfect from the beginning and the description and photos of the house seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. Not only was the house exactly as described, it was even better than we expected. Getting there was a breeze especially with the detailed instructions Cathleen provided. When we arrived the house was bright and clean with a lovely welcome station right at the front door. The welcome binder was full of helpful information about the house & property. And the house itself was just awesome. The master bedroom was so nice, especially the bathroom!! Beautiful kitchen, everything labeled to make things easy to find & put away. The kids had an absolute blast in the basement, it was the perfect hangout with games, tv, their own table to eat at, bathroom & bunk beds!! And the bedrooms upstairs were lovely and beautifully decorated. I just love all the little decorative details, this place felt so warm. We really felt at home. The Hideout property is awesome
there is so much to do. Our kids had fun in the arcade, we played paddle ball, we even learned how to play Pickleball! This was my first time using vrbo but we’ve used the air site before and this was the best home vaca rental experience we’ve had yet. Thank you so much Cathleen!

Wonderful

We had an incredible time at Cathleen’s place. Kitchen was great and overall the house was very spacious. Game room was a blast for the kids and the parents. We broke out a competitive game of scrabble. Teens loved skiing all day. Adults enjoyed sitting on the deck with a fire looking at the beautiful woods. Highly recommend

Just what we were looking for

The house offered us the perfect place for a group of friends to reconnect and celebrate a birthday. The house was clean and had plenty of space for 8 of us. The property owner was very responsive as well. I’d like to come back in the summer to use the outdoor fire pit as it was a little too cold during our visit. All in all great weekend away.

Cozy, Warm, Beautiful House - And a Wonderful Host to Boot!

My friends and I had an incredible time during our stay. The Autumn colors through the house matched the beautiful location and wonderful fresh air, which further brought a lively smile to my face. And the looks on everyone else's faces when they realized the sense of freedom. The community has lots of activities and Cathleen sent us plenty of information so we could decide what to do. We really enjoyed staying warm by the fires and playing in the game room when we were back at the house. Cathleen is the most responsive host I've ever had the pleasure of booking with. We will be certainly be back!

Great little community

The house was great for our weekend getaway. The community had a lot of activities and outdoor facilities for our teens to use, and the Club House was perfect for Sunday football games and food! Great upstairs bedrooms and plenty of room for the four of us. The outdoor deck was awesome, and so was the firepit! Thank you!

Pocono Paradise

There was an overwhelming sense of familiarity and warmth once we entered our home at the Hideout. Everything that we needed to make our stay relaxing and comfortable was at our fingertips! We were able to enjoy nature as we gazed out of the large kitchen window or took photos on the deck, we bonded together watching movies in the large family room downstairs, and we made future plans as we interacted in the living room demonstrating various talents that we'd developed over the past year. We had so much fun. I highly recommend this property for its care, comfort, and warmth.
