We had a group of 9 adults and 3 teenagers. The house was perfectly accommodating for that size. It felt like grandma's house. I loved all the personal touches. We spent so much time in the kitchen, around the dining room table and on the front porch. It was so cozy; sitting in the living room with the fireplace going.
All eleven family members came together for a great week.We enjoyed the lake and the fireworks .The house was perfect and the chipmunks ,birds and rabbit kept us occupied sitting on the porch.
Quick stay in a Lake Junaluska for entire family. Home is a little dated and would not serve us well for a long period of time if we were planning to cook a lot of meals, but for our short weekend awayâŠ.it was perfect. Host was quick to respond. Would stay again no questions asked.
We stayed over the holidays and faced several challenges during our stay. Access to the property was initially difficult due to issues with the provided code, and despite assistance from Vacasa, the instructions were unclear. The house also had noticeable pet hair, which was disappointing given that an early check-in was denied due to a "deep clean."Most significantly, we were unable to access the advertised 6th bedroom and third bathroom, which appeared to be the master suite. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, including contacting Vacasa, we couldnât locate or enter this area. It seemed the Vacasa team was unfamiliar with the layout of the property, leaving us without clear guidance. While the property was described as having six bedrooms and three bathrooms, we only had access to five bedrooms and two bathrooms, which significantly impacted our experience.
Customer service could use some work. I had to reschedule our trip due to the hurricane, and when I asked questions, sometimes I would get three replies to the same question, and other questions weren't even answered. The house was great - the only complaint was that there was food in the bottom of the dishwasher, and was stinky by the time we fot ther
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this 1920's craftsman cottage in Lake Junaluska. Although the lake was not visible from our cottage, we loved the cottage because it has a large porch with rocking chairs overlooking a lovely mountain vista. The birds , chipmunks and rabbits were fun to watch. The flower garden was lovely in front of the porch. We had plenty of room for our family and were glad that three bedrooms were downstairs to accommodate my elderly mother. The library, and games were enjoyable to look through as well as the period decor and pottery pieces throughout the cottage. A-plus! We would love to come back when the weather is cooler so that we could enjoy being outdoors for even longer. A fan on the front porch would be a wonderful addition for stifling hot days of summer.
