My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary here and it was everything we needed, wanted and more. It was awesome being able to fish, swim, and kayak on the Hudson River from the private dock. The stairs will give you a work-out, lol, and there are cars passing by on the street you have to cross but the house is literally on the Hudson River which. My husband enjoyed the dock the most. At night we sat on the patio and lit a fire while watching the river and just enjoying the night. The house and the listing are exactly as advertised so if you're hesitant to book, don't be. We were not disappointed at all. The dock and everything in the house worked perfectly. Great hot water, shower pressure was a little low but I think that's normal for the Adirondack area. The house has a cute little loft area with a nice view too. There is a convenience store, gas station, and a fabulous ice cream place about 10 minutes away. We had breakfast at Papa's Diner and the pancakes and syrup were sooo good. For those seeking privacy like we were. Although there were neighbors around, James's house is set up for privacy so no worries there. The neighbors we did run into were super friendly. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be back.
