We loved the cute little CLEAR lake and that everyone on the lake gets around on paddle boats. Very very clean and tidy and organized place.If I wanted perfection, I would have full walls for a more quiet bedroom and my back is super fussy so different mattresses. Everything else was super.

We really enjoyed staying at this great cottage in Lake Tomahawk. The communication with the owner is very good and the check in process / check out is very easy. Area is beautiful - the lake is very quiet, and the view is beautiful. Location is great as we went to Boulder Junction, Minocqua, Woodruff, Eagle River, Rhinelander and Manitowish Waters - all within 30 minutes.The cottage is small but very comfortable - very clean. Good storage for clothes in the bedroom. Kitchen seems to be well-stocked, but I do not cook much while on vacation! They do supply a lot of the basics (we always bring our own but there was a good supply at the house) of napkins, Kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.The outside is very welcoming. The deck is wonderful and there is a yard swing, benches and a nice fire pit. Outside area is well groomed. The walk down to the lake with small beach area is easy. We saw deer, heard owls at night and one night we were serenaded by coyotes ! There are a few "quirks" that the owner makes you aware of with using outlets and circuit breaker but we had no issues at all and used laptops, phones, hair dryers, etc. Wifi is good, can be a bit slow at times but overall it was good. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Family vacation July 4

Our family stayed 3 nights over the 4th of July. Cabin was very clean and fully stocked with anything one could possibly need. Host (Jana) was wonderful and very responsive. Fishing was very good even right off the pier. Kids loved the paddleboat and kayaks along with all the wildlife on the lake. We would recommend this peaceful gem tucked in the woods and hope to make it back to the “Novy Nest” sometime!

Pleasant getaway up north

Lovely stay, relaxing. It was nice that it was on a small lake and the back deck was special. What impressed me most was that it was remodeled and everything seemed practically new. Big enough for a small family, nice swimming area; we relaxed and did things in the area. You are close to other houses there, but we never saw anyone. Very quiet location. you!

Lovely lake house

Very nice cottage on a small private lake. The interior is comfortable and the bedrooms are nice sized with quality linens. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare and cook meals. The deck outside is huge and has great views of the lake. There is a very nice sand beach with a picnic table and chairs. The paddleboat was amazing! I was solo on this trip and had no problem paddling around the lake by myself.

Perfect spot for a little getaway

Very nice, clean cabin. Nice yard and great beach/dock area. No mosquitos! They had most everything we needed and it was the perfect spot for our summer vacation!

Great little cabin

A friend and I came up to run a race in Minocqua and decided to just make a weekend out of it. This cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. The host was super responsive and really nice. The cabin has a great view of the little lake from the deck. We went out several times on the paddle boat and did really well catching lots of pretty good size blue gills and even landed a small northern as well as a few medium size Large mouth, which was a pleasant surprise for such a small lake. We also met 'Gil' the giant snapping turtle. So cool! Would return and highly recommend for a place to stay in this area.

Up North Slice of Paradise

Great little cabin close to the town of Lake Tomahawk and a little more than 1/2 hour to Minocqua or Rhinelander. Cottage was so clean and well decorated, and nicely updated in many ways. Peaceful lake and setting. Nice neighborhood, but private and so nice to just sit out on the deck and take in nature, the fresh air, and great view.

Cozy and cute

We had planned on a weekend filled with swimming, boating and campfires but the weather had other plans. All day rain kept our crew mostly indoors. Everyone was still in good spirits as we found ways to stay entertained. The house was very clean and well stocked with all the essentials (although we couldn’t find any sugar for the morning coffee). A trip to The Key to Escape in Minocqua was the perfect activity for 3 teens on a rainy day. Although the lake is small, it provided just the right amount of serenity we were hoping for!

Enjoyable week at the cabin

The cabin was clean, generously stocked with everything we needed and everything worked as expected. Neighborhood and lake were quiet and peaceful and the bass were hungry. We plan to return.

Wonderful family getaway

Our family had a wonderful time at the cabin. Our kids, ages 9 & 6, repeatedly said, "this is the best vacation ever!" The cabin is ver tidy and fully stocked, and just all around cozy. We plan to come back next summer! Only thing I would change is I wish we booked a longer stay. Thank you for a beautiful time with our family!

Cute cabin and great host

I stayed at Novy's nest for a quick trip to the area. Thr host was great at communicating before and during my stay. The cabin was clean and really organized; the location is amazing and the lake is beautiful! Overall a great stay and a beautiful place!

Wonderful family-friendly cabin on the lake!

Everything our family of 4 (including two boys ages 3 and 5) was looking for! The cabin was very clean and well-stocked, including some books and toys for the kids. Jana checked in by text to make sure we had everything we needed. Our family loved the paddleboat, kayaks, and fire pit (with shed full of dry firewood nearby). Beautiful, peaceful area - we stayed Tuesday through Sunday and the area was very quiet the entire stay. The proximity to restaurants and beaches in Minocqua and Rhinelander was also nice. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely return!

We stayed an extra day and wanted to kayak fish a different area than we had been. Both my boys fished bluegill lake catching several small mouth and some bluegill. Great end to our trip. Only there one day. House was everything that was advertised. Thanks
