Mt. Rainier View Beach House

Cette retraite paisible est à 90 minutes rapides de Seattle, mais se sent à un million de kilomÚtres. Beau terrain avec des pelouses vallonnées et un terrain de pétanque en taille réelle. Il y a une bouée pour les plaisanciers, un quai de jet privé et trois kayaks.

La plage est pleine de palourdes, de moules, d'huĂźtres et de crabes et est parfaite pour le peignage de la plage.

La plupart des chambres de ce Cape Cod de 1939 donnent sur la baie, Anderson, McNeil et Fox Islands, et les lumiÚres lointaines de Steilacoom. La maison conserve son charme d'origine et a été mise à jour avec un foyer au gaz confortable, une nouvelle cuisine, des comptoirs en quartzite et des appareils en acier inoxydable, des intérieurs frais et une baignoire profonde. Les salles à manger et le salon sont parfaits pour les réunions, et la cuisine rénovée a tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour faire de bons repas.

Pendant que vous ĂȘtes ici, vous pouvez marcher sur la plage, faire griller des guimauves au foyer de la plage, pagayer vers la rĂ©serve naturelle locale, jouer au boules de pĂ©tanque ou simplement vous dĂ©tendre. Il y a un nid d'aigle Ă  cĂŽtĂ© et les hĂ©rons, les cormorans, les sternes, les balbuzards et les martins-pĂȘcheurs abondent. La plupart du temps, une paire de phoques surveille la maison et une paire de cerfs flanquent souvent le terrain de pĂ©tanque.

La maison est à trente-cinq minutes du centre-ville historique de Gig Harbor avec son magnifique front de mer, la Tides Tavern et de nombreux autres endroits à explorer ou à dßner. En été, visitez la charmante marina de Lakebay et essayez ses célÚbres fish and chips et hamburgers.

Peace and Memory-Making!

What an incredibly peaceful property and home! The view is amazing (and we didn't even see Mt. Rainier during our stay due to clouds - but the view was still beyond fantastic)! The rooms were comfortable, the decor was perfect, and the home was beautiful and clean. The mix of modern and vintage (those wall sconces were wonderful) was lovely. We loved our stay! Cathy is the most attentive VRBO host I have ever had the joy of encountering (and I have had a number of terrific VRBO hosts)! She is quick to respond to messages and so incredibly helpful and thoughtful! Both her character and the character of the home are gorgeous and welcoming. We also had a great time exploring the shore and discovering all kinds of crabs and shells!We are so grateful for our time at your home, Cathy! Perfect girls weekend!

6 of us convened for a relaxing girls weekend and couldn’t be happier with Cathy’s house! Perfect access to the water which was a beautiful, peaceful spot for a paddle. Next time we need to stay longer!

Perfect little lake getaway

What a peaceful and serene spot to relax! We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and in the living room just absorbing the beauty around us. Kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking family meals. I took my grandparents with me, and there's a bedroom and (not ADA) bathroom on the first floor which was convenient for them. The rooms upstairs were comfortable and lovely! I couldn't spot a heater upstairs, in case you run cold, but the living room fireplace was very nice on cooler evenings.

This home has the most beautiful view imaginable and the charms of a lovingly updated older home. Our group has visited several times and we will be back again. The property owner is quick to answer inquiries and we love that she shares her wonderful home.

Extraordinary house in a quiet, serene setting

This lovely home, with its incredible view and quiet setting, was the perfect fit for our family of five to enjoy a few days of spring break vacation. Spring weather in the Puget Sound is mercurial, but we got lucky with three clear, albeit chilly, days to enjoy kayaking the bay and watching seals, bald eagles, and other wildlife. We would not hesitate to return.

This is a beautiful home at a beautiful location on the water. This fit our group of 4 adults and 2 children perfectly. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and more. I am in love with this property! I can't wait to return. The attention to detail at the Beach House is above and beyond. Beautiful setting on Puget Sound

We had a wondeful time at this lovely house with simply outstanding views of southern Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier. The wildlife in the area was amazing - lots of bald eagles, seals and even otters lounging on the floating dock. Rear deck and multiple levels in the tiered backyard made for some excellent times for our family.

We had a wonderful time in this lovely scenic and quiet place. We cooked all meals in and the kitchen was well enough equipped for what we needed. The last day some of us got up early enough to see an amazingly beautiful sunrise.

I love this Beach House; from the moment you enter you will never stop smiling and wondering how you got so lucky to find it! I make my yearly vacation plans around staying here. The property is stunning and is completely outfitted for the perfect get away-just bring yourself and everything else is provided to maximize your stay. From the linens to the kitchen no detail is overlooked - providing an exceptional luxury get away. Then you go down to the beach and there are kayaks, a fire pit, and Adirondack chairs-bring a picnic! There is so much to do. We love cooking in the fabulous kitchen, the inlet is perfect for kayaking even in the rain, and there are games to play! Cathy is responsive and genuinely wants you to have the best experience. Even though we had rainy days we NEVER left the property (except to kayak)– it’s just too beautiful😊 Thanks Cathy! All the best until next time-Dianne

Perfect vacation home

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Cathy’s beach house. Somehow the house is both light and airy and warm and cozy. The furnishings are gorgeous and comfortable, the layout is great for families, and the place was spotless. The deck is the perfect place to sit and watch the seals and bald eagles
and trust me, the view across the Sound to Mt. Rainier is even better in person. We enjoyed the bocce and badminton, kayaking (there are four kayaks, easily launched from the beach or the dock), and helping ourselves to the enormous oysters on our beach. Cathy has thought of everything, from setting out bocce balls to filling the firepit with wood. And we loved the cozy fireplace—push a button on the remote and you have an instant fire and heat. The only negative is that Cathy won’t sell me the house. :-) Thank you so much for the perfect family getaway!!

The views from every room of this house are spectacular. Between that, the cute cozy decor and comfy beds, we all had a relaxing fun stay. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The host was responsive. Would recommend.

Peaceful, Sound, Experience

This is a historic home that has been lovingly decorated and cared for. The location is right on the water with a view of the islands in the sound and Mt. Rainier in the background. The back yard has a Bocce-ball court, flowering trees and a grassy path to the beach and dock. The kyaks are right next to the fire pit. We stayed busy with a Bocce-ball tournament, board games, reading, kayaking, jigsaw puzzles and eating at the large wood table. The bedrooms are whitewashed and the beds are comfortable with soft sheets and cozy quilts. Everything is immaculate, tastefully decorated and very well stocked! There is even a 'hidden' tiny room, next to the library, for the grandkids to discover. We will definitely be back.

Hidden Gem

What a great experience! Amazing house, amazing property, amazing view! We loved everything about it - including the neighbors. House was well-stocked, more than we expected - very clean and wonderfully decorated! Super cozy, comfy beds and furniture. We enjoyed kayaking and make bonfires. Cathy was very responsive to us and our needs - even made sure the direct TV was fixed seconds before our arrival. We can’t wait to go back next year! The seals and eagles were a definite plus!! Love this spot for family vacation! We were lucky enough to sit on the deck and gaze at a snow-covered Mt Rainier during happy hour on our first night there. 5 stars all around!!!

Perfect family getaway in serene setttjng

Cathys home is immaculate, cozy and tastefully decorated. We especially loved the kitchen and living space- with older grandparents and young children, spent lots of time indoors just hanging out. Cute and fun touches like the library, kayaks, and bocce court all taken advantage of. We’ll definitely be back.
