The hotel was beautiful, the whole place gave you the hacienda in a novela vibe. Just very old school Mexico, beautiful plants and flowers all around. I loved being in the heart of the historic district of Laredo.

The room was ok. It’s a lot of things not really specified before booking like the shared balcony. River view will have to be something you can choose and actually get not just leave a note on a regular room. Although it’s luxurious it’s very unsafe if you’re not just staying within the hotel. YOU CAN NOT WALK AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE PROPERTY AT ALL. Don’t listen to the UBER OR LYFT DRIVER TRYING TO TAKE YOU INTO MEXICO.

I had to stay in the Posada since I was a kid for the last 45 years but this time I will say the hotel still remains an icon in Laredo as well kept peaceful, clean, quiet, but the service needs to be addressed. Customer service is not what it used to be front desk just barely minimum doing the service the bar and restaurant the lady is like she’s making you a favor for her for you to stay in the hotel so basically the hotel is still a nice place nevertheless competition is first and customer service supposed to be better or oriented for being a little bit more friendly. I would say that.

Things we liked. The room was very nice and spacious. I loved the beams on the ceiling and brick on the wall, which gave the room character. The bathroom was nice and they had soft water. The courtyard was very pretty and at night reminded me of the Encanto movie. Things we didn't like. The restaurant food in the hotel was terrible and expensive. The wait staff were not very friendly. The check in process was much more complicated then it needed to be. The one lady was very rude at the counter.... she seemed to be a manager. Also, the jacuzzi was very small and full of people that never came out in over an hour of waiting. The one pool that was supposed to be heated was cold. *If you do visit here: stop in the roundabout courtyard in front of the property, check in, then you will be given a space to park under the building. ***Rating based on the hotel experience and not the food.
