Rooms are spacious but the thermostat was broken. Room was too cold and the thermostat did not work properly. Called at 11 pm. Maintenance came to fix it but took 45 min to get there. Then he was rude towards my hisband and acted like we did not know how to work a thermostat. A few hours later it was getting too hot and the thermostat did not cool. At 3 am called again at Maintenance took 30 min to getthere. These 2 guys were nice and professional and actuall fixed the problem at 4 am. Needless to say we got little sleep. No refrigerator or microwave in statard room. Friends had suite to get a fridge but the fridge did not work. Beds not comfortable.

Escalators to the self parking area regularly stop working. The optional elevator for use doesn’t work either. The pool which they advertise as the highlight of their facility isn’t operational. It’s full of water, everything looks great but it’s not open. The highly touted “advanced air filtration system “ to remove cigarette, cigar and pot smoke is next to useless. Everything smells like tobacco smoke. You can’t get to the registration desk, or to your rooms, or any other access without passing through the casino floor. The escalator to the restaurants off Flamingo don’t work either. They routinely put barricades blocking them off. If you can’t use the elevator, or the escalator then they are in violation of the ADA laws. I’m disabled and had to use the stairs up 35 steep steps three times. I reported it to the front desk and nobody cared. There are no drinking fountains in the entire building so they expect you to pay outrageous prices for a bottle of water. I purchased a bacon/cheeseburger and a strawberry milkshake for $43.99. It’s owned by Caesars, which owns Horseshoe, Flamingo and the Cromwell. However, only the Horseshoe is smoky. I went into the Flamingo and the Cromwell and you could feel a vacuum in the ceiling sucking out the smoke. I walked past someone smoking and as soon as he exhaled it was sucked up into the ceiling. Not over at the Horseshoe. It was working marginally at best. Then there is the $20 per day for parking, and another $20 room Fee.

Overall stay was good. The Internet access is not secured so if you need to do a little work while staying here you won’t be able to. The daily resort fee should be REDUCED since Wi-Fi access is the main component of the fee.
