I received confirmation from VRBO before our trip. However, when we went to the property, there was a locked gate. I called the property manager and was told that he no longer owned that property and wasn't aware that it was listed on VRBO. So, we had pay 400 to stay 1 night at a sleezy motel, before we could find someplace else to stay the rest of our trip.
I booked this because it was still listed on Verbo. Having not heard from the host after several messages i called a few days before my trip. Was informed this was no longer used as a Verbo rental. Never got notifications from Verbo or from the host. Was VERY upset as it was in the part of town i wanted to stay in. VERY unhappy with NO communication when it was booked that it wasn't available.
The owner cancelled last two nights (Saturday and Sunday) of our stay just a day before our trip to LV. The whole city was booked up so we had really hard time finding anything to stay for the weekend. We paid three times more for a regular hotel room.
It was hard to communicate with the owner until he cancelled. Then, he was apologetic but that was difficult to accept considering the last minute cancellation and not responding to my messages/calls. I had to call vrbo to assist reaching him.
His assistant was very polite, responsive, and willing to help when we arrived.
Just be careful when booking listings like this one.
