The house was beautiful and upon first glance, immaculate. However, while stripping the beds as directed we found several bed bugs in the two downstairs rooms. We sent a message to the host and finally called after they ignored our messages. After calling and asking for a call back, they informed us that they had sent a pest control inspector to the property and that they had found nothing, despite us sending several pictures of the bugs we had found, as well as pictures of the bites several people in our party began to see after the second night. At the time we had assumed they had gotten into something while exploring, but now know better. I had never seen a bedbug so had to look it up, but as you can see that is what they clearly are. I asked the host to send a copy of the pest control report for verification and to include in the review, but again I was ignored.
This remote cabin is very nice for peace and quiet. We saw deer and turkey's every day. The house has very adequate supplies and cookware. It only has 4 places to sit at the table so people should be aware of that. Others have said that as you get close to the cabin, the road is fairly steep and they were right, but doable.
Well first off getting to the property was a bit difficult because of the poorly kept road and driveway. But the house itself was nice, area was quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was completely cloudy and smelled funny so we couldnât use it. We rented it for bike week and had a hell of a time going up and down the dirt roads so we wouldnât recommend it for bike week. But other than that we had a great time!
