This was the perfect get away for the weekend. The house is updated and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and I LOVED the bathtub. The kitchen had everything we needed. I cannot wait for my next trip back.
The Country Cottage is a great home for the Mt Gretna area. Its been nicely updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. Parking is a bit challenging if there are a lot of people in town but otherwise it is an excellent choice. The owners were responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
This is our second time staying at The Country Cottage and itâs just as great as it was last year. It has everything you need, a cozy Gretna cottage vibe, but with modern updates and conveniences. The cottage is very clean and family friendly. We would definitely stay again!
We had a very comfortable stay in this thoughtfully renovated Gretna home. Nice kitchen and baths, and we slept well on new-seeming mattresses, using provided sound machines. Plenty of room for dining and living room gathering. Very clean, and easy to access on check-in.
I've been vacationing in Mount Gretna for 55 years (since I was a newborn!) and this property was the best. Gorgeous and it appeared to be newly remodeled. Gorgeous kitchen and loved the bench table - even better was the gorgeous and massive bathroom in the primary bedroom. Many homes in Gretna use A/C units in the windows but this was great with the central A/C. We had an awesome time sitting on the porch and talking, etc. I would just say to be careful in the kitchen as there is a small step down. Bath towels were perfect too!
House had funky smell. Broken washing machine. Pots/pans filthy. Terribly stained area rug in living room. Bed in bedroom was without sheets. No linens for kitchen. Broken chair in kitchen. Shower curtain liner was filthy. Poorly maintained looking for a quick buck from renter.
The premises were immaculate. Loads of fluffy towels. Very nice and varied dish assortment. Beds were comfortable. Master bedroom and shower were amazing. If we had the opportunity, we would definitely stay there in the future.Suggestions: the sunken kitchen was a tripping hazard. Three people tripped and one fell. A better warning to the transition would be good. A railing from the road to the porch would be helpful (we are all in our 70s). All in all, a fabulous stay!
