We booked two separate rooms for the two families travelling together. I booked it using the same account, but the reception gave only one set of keys. They were not aware of the second room until I showed the booking confirmation. The halls were long and narrow. Our rooms were on the far end of the hotel and took us more than 10mins to walk there. The two rooms we got were on two different branches of the hotel, so it's another 10mins walk between the two rooms! We felt that there was no point in booking together. Horrible room allocations. Absolutely hated it. Breakfast was average continental options, but expensive for £10 per person. It was only on the last day on checkout we were told that there was a menu with more items to order if needed - like pancakes, tea, coffee etc. The whole arrangement felt like a scam business. The rooms were tiny and cramped with just enough space two fit legs to walk around. Two people cannot walk past without one person jumping on to the bed or sofa bed. The rooms smelled like mold all the time. We thought it was just a random smell until we started falling sick on the last day of our holiday. I got throat infection and runny nose before we started, followed by high fever after I got back home. I was floored for 3 days and developed chest infection afterwards. My wife also got same symptoms on the way back and is now sick with fever. I'd avoid this place at all costs.

Amazing shower

Room was ok but in need of decorating. shower was amazing but there’s no vent in the bathroom so everything is getting damp and mouldy around the bath and in the grout. Staff are very nice and the breakfast is very nice too.

Great location when visiting relatives

Very comfortable room. Nice and clean. Easy to follow heating instructions. Staff very courteous. Didn’t have food. Will stay again as in walking distance of my sons home!

This is an awful hotel. The building is from the 80s, it’s run down on the inside, a real time warp but not in a good way. My bedroom smelt damp, there were ceiling tiles not fitted properly on corridors exposing the cables and plumbing etc. I couldn’t check out fast enough come the morning.

Very well appointed Holiday Inn with pool and gym onsite. Lots of rooms and food was excellent but be aware that unlike most Holiday Inns that we have stayed at, breakfast is extra.

Great hotel. We had an incident whereby on night one a neighbouring room had a very loud and aggressive domestic. Staff acted promptly and it was dealt with. I have to say the staff here are fantastic. Amazing with kids, go out of their way to be kind and helpful. The food is great. Pool is an added bonus. Rooms clean, warm and good hot water shower. Ticked all the boxes for us. Bus stop across the road so east access into Leeds too. Definitely will be booking again when back in Leeds
