Check in process was ok. I did not speak directly with owner. All communication was via messaging which worked well. Pros: 1) The view of the lake and sitting areas; 2) plenty of parking space; 3) easy access to launch and land boat; 4) washer and dryer.Cons: 1) Ice maker was not working; 2) the circuit for the TV in den tripped. We had a licensed electrician with us but no volt/amp meter to determine what was tripped. We used a drop cord; 3) trip and fall hazards. The front step layout is definitely not “senior citizen” friendly. Also, the top step to the upper dock is about an inch and a half (guesstimate) higher than the other steps, which is a trip hazard. I put a rope across it to remind my brain to pick feet up higher ; 4) water in the house stopped working after a storm. It was apparently the contacts on the pump pressure switch. A “bump” (from the licensed electrician) got it pumping again; 5) the hot/cold water handle in one bathroom appears to be installed incorrectly, I.e., it comes on hot and turned all the way is cold; 6) as mentioned in another review, one bedroom is cooled by fans only. The week we stayed set high temperature records.Bottom line, everything that is older (this reviewer included), requires more and more maintenance and upgrades. Due partly to extreme heat and thunderstorms, we probably experienced more issues than a typical stay, Regardless of the issues I listed, the view of the sunrise is a “10”.
