Thank you Michael for letting us stay in your beautiful Banksia cottage. It is impeccable and so comfortable beautifully furnished.I look forward to returning again soon.
The house had all the things we needed, the location was nice and had a nice surround that is very relaxing The house is highly suitable for a 3 year old child with a playground and accessories, variety of interesting books, and a collection of interesting toys. My granddaughter absolutely adored the house and we will definitely stay there again.
Lovely property, perfect for a small family. I stayed with my toddler and baby and everything we needed was there, from the crib to toys and plastic plates. The heating worked well and there were also heaters in the bedrooms which I only used for the baby one night.
The cottage was as described and well appointed wirh everything you need for a relaxing and cosy stay. Downtown Leura is conveniently about 5 mins drive. Michael was really easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.
The cottage inside is very lovely. Bedding and bedrooms beautiful. Small living areas but very comforatble. Once the fire was alight the cottage was warm and lovely for our start to winter stay. A modern bathroom or newly done very lovely. An older kitchen however has all you need to make a meal. There is a very narrow car space we found it easier to park up on road. As the lower cottage guests parked in the middle of driveway. Also a bit of walk into Leura 20 minutes.Overall a very positive stay in the moutains in a quaint cottage and made very cozy with gas heater and plenty of lush bedding; doonas and rugs.
The location of the property was great for us. The 2 gripes we had were the shower and the parking space. The five adults all commented on the difficulty of getting the temperature control of the shower to get to warm, and to remain on warm. The car parking was also difficult to navigate. It's a one-way driveway that shares a space for 2 cars (1 for the cottage and 1 for the cabin), but it is dependent on both cars leaving space for the other. The problem is that both cars have to be exact in where they place their vehicle or it doesn't work. On both days we had to ask the people in the cabin to please move their car so we could get out. That was super annoying but we did all agree that the cottage was cute and comfortable
We stayed here for 2 nights. The cottage is small, but perfect for our family of 4 with 2 children under 7. Communication with the owners was great. They provided us with all the information we needed and checked in with us via email during our stay.
The cottage was clean, tidy and the gas fireplace heated the house really well. Although the kitchen was the original so quite outdated, it was stocked with all the kitchen appliances we needed.
View from the main bedroom looking out at the tree tops was beautiful.
I walked into the main village of Leura on one occasion, it was about a 18min walk (brisk walk) and I had to cross over the freeway and walk up a hill. So its definitely not a leisurely walk that young kids would be happy to do!
Overall we were really happy with this place and I would highly recommend it
Could not get free channels and no Netflix. My little dog kept finding pieces of glass, which was under the lounge.Bed in main room was fantastic, second bed was terrible.Could not close the gauze door as it had no workable lock, considering this house is dog friendly this is totally unacceptable. They need to update the kitchen and pots and pans are just shoved into a corner cupboard.Unfortunately I can not recommend this house,
