Not impressed during our Fall Break stay

Upon arrival with my family we were told upfront that the pool was waiting health inspection. Disheartening, considering that, that is an important purchase point with children. Had we known that it would be down until the last night of our four night stay we would have looked into a neighboring hotel. The staff were average and not truly welcoming. One member in particular that was over the breakfast hours was bluntly rude to my young nine year old daughter while we sat nearby in disbelief. The nozzle to the waffle batter dispenser popped off due to pressure build up in the machine. She walked over and stooped to her level and with a smile, actually told her that she was the reason the machine was broken and she didn’t have a nozzle to replace it thanks to her. She smiled again, cocked her head at my daughter and strutted off leaving my daughter shaken and confused. The fire alarm on our third floor was found to be faulty after the second sweep by firemen. The faulty alarm caused it to alarm in excess of six times throughout the day and into the late night constantly waking us up. No apologies or nothing and lack of sleep for everyone. After this experience we have decided to avoid Best Western hotels on future family trips after this ordeal.

Upon my arrival, the lobby reeked of marijuana. Upon entering the room it was noted that the ceiling was separating. Before bed, I paced a medication in the fridge that required refrigeration. Upon awakening it was noted that the fridge had not stayed closed and the expensive medication was ruined. I feel that I was lied to by hotels.com as they have the hotel fantastic ratings, which made my decision to choose that hotel.

Old Tired and in Need of of Renovation

Lobby was fine but rest of property is old and tired in need of renovation. Poorly maintained and kind of icky. Beds seemed clean and were comfortable. Rough paint, dirty corners generally not the kind of place I would expect for the price. Won’t be back.
