We wanted just a place to get away from the Northern weather and see our youngest do some rock climbing. Richmond was a great place for us. But we had car trouble and had to extend our stay. The motel staff was so supportive, it blew our minds and in fact made us want to go back to Richmond.

Room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Tub showed signs of age but was clean. Only problem was that toilet in our first room would not flush, but night shift manager Mike switched us to another room, checked it himself to make sure everything was in order, and was very helpful and kind.

hotel clerk was unhappy about working a different shift 1st rm door latch was messed up and would not open 2nd rm carpet was torn and bed was not made properly room smelled. went back to desk clerk and she told us to just leave. WE DID NOT STAY WERE AKED TO LEAVE WE NEED A REFUND!

If you stay in room 311, the toilet backs up, the toilet paper holder is falling out of the wall, and there is a blue bucket under the sink. Staff always know which rooms have issues; prayerfully, this is the only room with issues but I doubt it. We were traveling from Atlanta for a funeral in Richmond; not a pleasant distraction from my grief.
