The property is falling apart. Itâs clean but stuff are broken and need to be repaired. Soap dispenser broken, one drawer broken, hair dryer not working, faucet broken, window not closing properly and since my room was on the 1st floor, anyone could access the room through the window, pool dirty.
First of all, when we arrived, I noticed the pictures on the website were nothing like when we arrived. The hotel was under major renovations, which it needs terribly. When we check in, I paid for a two-bed suite and was put in a regular double room. When I went back to get swapped to the suite, we were supposed to be in they moved us to a room that was dirty and disgusting Pictures below). So after not being able to find another room in the area, I told the clerk we would stay in the 1st room as it was clean at least and for them to clean my correct room and we would move there when clean. She said that she was the only one there and that the cleaning carts were locked up. We stayed the night in the smaller room and then moved to the suite the second night which appeared to be clean but when I pulled the comforter back it had a blood stain on it and had to exchange for a clean one. There was no attempt to compensate in any way besides saying, " everything is going wrong with your visit isn't it". This is unacceptable and my family and I book at least 5-10 bookings per year with hotels.com. I would like to have a refund for this horrible experience with my family.
The room was spacious and clean. Staff were nice. Shower was good. Location near restaurants and seemed safe.
A few issues of dissatisfaction:
1. No phone in room. Why? No answer from desk at 8 am when i called using my cell phone.
2. No âdo not disturbâ tag. Room service would knock and enter at 9:30 am when we wanted to sleep in. The maid was nice but didnât speak English at all.
3. TV in lobby was loud during day and carried straight into our room. Very annoying to me when we wanted to sleep in and in general.
The front desk staff was very professional and kind. The pool was under construction and we did not find out until time of check-in versus prior to booking. The appearance of the hotel was very outdated and bland. The breakfast was very delicious!
Fridge in room didnât work, made staff aware nothing was done. Lock on door was broken, lights didnât have bulbs in them. Asked for soap for wash hands, never got any the whole 3 nights. I had booked the room for 4 nights but checked out a day early to go elsewhere.
They are renovating and it makes it look closed. No hot water 2 of the 3 nights, only one could be blamed on Hurricane Helene. Hurricane knocked out TV and internet but power never went out for long. Room was good with comfy bed. Breakfast was adequate 8
