very nice house. A little small in the bedroom sizes. The bed is against the wall & my wife would have to crawl out to use the bathroom. The only bad thing is the parking. I have a full size truck and the neighbor that was staying in the cottage besides us( this is a duplex) decided that they were going to park on the middle of the street instead of the parking spot they were provided & blocked my truck in. The Host did not respond to my message about it until the day after check out.
The pictures of this property are specifically placed so you canât see anything wrong with it. The outside is starting to look very worn. Window screens with holes. The bathroom has mold on the walls and the trim around the floor is peeled and and needs replaced. The front room is small but nice. Bedrooms are fine.
This lovely property is a short walk away from Frankfort's beautiful historic downtown distric. The property was beatifully decorated, stocked well with dishes and supplies, and check in was the easiest I've experienced yet. This is am especially grwat stay for bourbon lovers, as you're minutes away from the big names and smaller distilleries as well. I will definitely return in the future!
Stayed here for the night. The area around the house was a little run down but it was central to all things we wanted to do. Entrance to the house was easy and locks to the house were all secure. Bedrooms and living area were nice but the kitchen bathroom had water damage/mold. We had rain while there and there were several locations by bathroom where water came in. I could see the water coming in from under floor trim. There was a chalky film on the floor in those locations when we entered the house, so Iâm assuming this also happened before we got there and it dried up. Seems to be a reoccurring issue. The place was fine for the night but would not stay long term. Hard to use a bathroom thatâs flooded.
Nice place to stay. Good spot to walk to any place on the main stretch downtown. Lots of food/distillery recommendations available on the wall when you walk in the door. Host was quick to reply to any questions. Great experiencd overall.
I was here with a group of friends for 1 night for a bourbon distillery trip. We were here for buffalo trace. The property is well located and close to lots of stuff. That said, it's up on a hill that sits right next to a busy road. It's a very small space with a small kitchen that adjoins the only bathroom which is honestly a very tight squeeze with the washer and dryer sitting right in front of the door and the door opening out. There's a tight hallway leading back to two rooms and a very small living room. I wouldn't recommend it for a big gathering or if you're looking to spend a ton of time there but for our purposes it was just fine. We had no issues.P.S. You can hear everything going on and people walking in the unit next door. Also the building next to this building looks to be condemned/boarded up etc.Again, we had no issues and this property was great for our purposes, just want to give people a little additional info.
We liked the centralized location of the property, it was easy to get to distilleries, restaurants, and the highway. The property was tidy, and provided all the necessary items for a week stay. Our only complaints would be the bedding (pillow cases & duvet covers) smelled like body odor & smoke, like they hadn't been washed in a while. Also, the floors had a lot of debris when we did arrive, and we found that some of the dishes weren't cleaned well. The property is small, and a bit cramped, however those are things that can't be improved upon and didn't negatively affect our stay. Overall, we enjoyed "Bourbon on the Hill".
Everything was perfect! Only thing was parking was difficult with our F150 truck but we knew that going in from other reviews! Would stay again for sure!!
My trip started off terrible. I got to the location and the code I was provided did not work. After an hour someone called and got it straight but I was veey upset because that madevmevlate ro my conceet and I missed and hour and half of it. Besides that the lication is excellent and the price is excellent. The onlyvthing ai didnt like is the rub and sinks dont drain. THEY NEED TO GET THAT FIXED
Clean, comfortable stay. The only drawbacks were a loud train that went by around 3am and the traffic noise was loud while sitting on the front porch.
All amenities were good.
Wonderful location for an overview look of Frankfort. Sitting on the porch in the evening listening to the live music playing from in town made the end of the days great. Most mornings you can smell the mash from the distilleries which was a waking treat for us. The only downside in the location was the finicky light to leave. It is temperamental and you can't turn on red so just a trick to have someone run across and push the walk button. It will turn really fast once pushed. Great stay and a fun time. Will do again.
Enjoyed our stay with 2 adult couples in this cozy home. It is perfectly located near Buffalo Trace and several restaurants/bars are within walking distance.
