Nice house in a nice neighborhood. House was so nice inside. We enjoyed our stay! The outside of the house needs some real good cleaning and yard work. It did not have curb apeal! It looked like an abandoned house, but the inside was clean and nice. I would definitely stay there again. They just need to do some TLC on the outside.
We so enjoyed this property. It was in a wonderful location...close to a park and convenient to shopping. Everything was just like it was described and pictured. We will definitely stay there again.
The listing was exactly as advertised and the few occasions I reached out to the house they were very responsive. The property has ample space a for 2 adults and a small dog. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Good location to University and shopping.I took off a star because the property could use a good cleaning. It's a pet friendly property but the couches reek of wet dog. The shower curtain in the hall path was covered in mold. The host did drop off a new shower curtain, but that should have been addressed between rentals. Dog fur and dirt on the floors along with finding random medication on the floor in one of the bedrooms, made me question when and how thoroughly the home was last cleaned. Also removed a star for cold to lukewarm water in shower.
Rat under broken front step !24 hours to set up new Roku. Outside furniture torn and filthy. Screen door handle broken and door doesnât slide. Property management company not very helpful. Lawn and shrubs need attention.
The house was tucked into a very quaint neighborhood, house was clean and located conveniently to downtown Lexington and Keeneland. Absolutely what we were looking for.
A terrific area! Convenient to restaurants, shopping, and the New Circle exit. There's a neighborhood park behind the home and ducks have been through the yard. Neighbors are nice and it's safe for families and groups. We love it here! House was clean and well appointed. Highly Recommended!
We needed to be close to UK and the listing stated it was 10 minutes from campus. It was 20-25 minutes and that impacted our entire weekend. We had so many spiders on the walls, on top of the bed and under the covers that no one could sleep in the one room. I had 4 in one room and I notified management and no one responded. The toilet was running non stop. This morning we woke up to 3 spider crawling on us in the bed. We quickly got up and packed everyone up and left. I never leave negative reviews but we killed over 20 spiders in 2 days. It was just too much.
Overall everything was good. We had local family meet us at the house after we went to dinner and was nice to have a place to do that. The backyard wasnât an option like we thought due to the patio furniture being dirty and lots of mosquitos and long grass. We thought there was a grill but didnât see one. Would be a nice touch to have a bag of ice since the fridge doesn't have an ice machine. Noticed quite a few spiders/webs in master room/bathroom so not sure how recently it was cleaned. The outlet in the other bathroom didnt work. Great touch to have a welcome basket, thank you.
Our family stayed 4 nights at the property. The neighborhood/location was a pleasant surprise and the house looked very nice and accurate to the listing. It was wonderful to have more space than a hotel room for the same price!
When reading other reviews we anticipated some cleanliness issues, but found the house to be mostly clean except for some âdeep cleaningâ issues (ex: mold in toilet/washing machine; spider webs/cobwebs in corners). The property has been partially updated with nice finishes in kitchens and bathrooms, but some light maintenance needs to be done (ex: chipped marked up paint; small stains on furniture; baseboards).
Overall the price for the quality was a plus for us and we would consider staying there again if we are ever back in Lex.
Iâve never before written a review like this. But Iâve also never walked out on a reservation immediately after arrival before so, here we are. Donât stay here. As soon as we entered the property, we noticed the bug problem. My son noticed a spider high on the wall that was out of reach for me, at which point I took a closer look--and the more we looked, the worse it got. Every nook, cranny, corner, baseboard had active spiders, webs, and bits of bugs. We found 22 spiders. There was also an active ant problem in the kitchen. As we did not care to cohabitate with this ecosystem or take any of it home with us, I took some photos and left. Contacting the host immediately, we expressed the problem, said we would not be staying there, and asked for a refund. Then we went to a hotel.
The next phase of the poor reviewâthe communication from the host was almost nonexistent, and what did occur was extremely unmeaningful. The response to our first text was âWe apologize for the inconvenience âŠI will keep you updated.â I had to text them again the next day for an update and received almost the same response. Then we heard nothing at all for SEVEN DAYS. I finally received a phone call from the host, apologizing for the poor quality of the responses that had been so impersonal and useless, we assumed were AI auto-responses but were actually a human. She also said they would be rethinking the cleaning services. I hope they do, but I won't be the guinea pig to find out.
This was one of the most disgusting houses I have ever been in. Every surface had a stain on it. We had to leave around 9 pm because we decided we could not sit or laydown anywhere in the filth. I contacted the host and VRBO when I did not hear back from the host after 12 hours. VRBO told me I would hear from Kentucky Life about a refund, but after 2 weeks, I heard nothing. I had to reach out to VRBO again today, and I'm being gaslit about the policies. This has been the biggest headache- I should have stuck to hotels. It was clean and friendly, and there were people there to HELP if I needed it.
