This unit was under construction upon arrival. The deck slider was completed taped off and fully inaccessible, making the âocean viewâ booking as false advertising. Upon arrival to the parking garage that was under construction, I started to feel like this wasnât the getaway we booked. Garage was sketchy, not up to code, and a middle support beam was removed with 2x4s in place of a legit support beam, and still letting cars park down there â wild! No clear access signs to the unit, lots of construction equipment down there â we drove out to access the the unit, thatâs when disappointment set in. Iâm not usually one to leave a negative review, but after speaking to management, this was next level poor customer service. After 30 min on the phone with âmanagementâ, they stated that they sent an email, (not a Vrbo notification) a few days before notifying of construction, and that the cancellation window ended the day before â previously I received multiple push notifications about the stay from them through Vrbo. Basically, they stated that there was nothing they could do for us, but that we were more than welcome to stay and were very rude and unapologetic about it. Needless to say, we did not stay there, and last minute booked with Coho, which was a wonderful experience. VRBO finally agreed to refund half of our stay, while surftides did nothing. I would not trust booking with this property, as youâre on your own with no support if your trip goes wrong. So disappointing!
