Great weekend

We really enjoy the ease access to the beach, the sounds of the waves from our bed it’s was amazing. We as a small family this place fits perfect, and everything so closed comes more better.

Not what we expected but still good

We didn't realize this was basically a studio/hotel room. It's a small unit in a much larger complex, called the Sea Gypsy. We appreciated the beautiful views from the large windows. The flooring needed to be replaced but we were warned of that before our stay and chose to go anyways. We had a good trip but wouldn't stay here again due to it being overpriced for what we got.

Super cute condo!

Loved our stay! We had a perfect beach weekend at this adorable oceanfront condo! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The view of the ocean from the window was absolutely stunning—sunrises with coffee were a dream. The location is close to great restaurants and shops. Working with the owner was a breeze—communication was quick and easy, and they made sure everything was ready for our stay. We can’t wait to come back!

Sea Gypsy Condo

Patty was excellent. She communicated with me and was so kind. The unit was extremely clean. And I have never stayed anywhere before where I could take five steps from my patio, walk down a few stairs and be on the beach. Excellent location.

Very disappointed in condition of condo

The carpet was covered with stained brown spots, needed shampooed or replaced by owner. Ceiling fan was was so filthy, it was black on the edges of the blades. Garbage disposal was full of food, wouldn't work and sink didn't drain. My husband managed to reset the disposal so it would work. However, it took about 15 minutes to get hot water in the faucet. We couldn't use the freezer in the frig because it was so thick with ice buildup. The wooden slats on the floor would pop up when we walked on them and the nails would catch on our socks. One of the windows was missing a screen, and since we were on the 2nd floor, it would have been easy to accidently fall out onto the sidewalk below. the bathroom was the only nice thing about this condo. The water pressure in the shower was good. We left a day early. Just couldn't stay the whole time. I'm not a complainer, but this condo was just too bad. Also, the bed linens were cheap and didn't fit the bed properly. All of the pillows were difference the the pillowcases wouldn't stay on them. Since we arrived late on Saturday, DEc. 28, we stayed. Not sure how I feel about vrbo quality now.

Floors coming apart, stains on carpet, mold in windows, stains on bedding, water doesn’t drain. Worst place I’ve ever stayed in

Comfortable, great location on beach, and wonderful view

We totally enjoyed our stay, loved watching the birds (especially the pelicans), and much appreciated having a corner unit with windows that gave us a panoramic view! Of the local attractions our favorites were Boiler Bay (near the Whale Watching Center in Depoe Bay) and the Siletz Bay 1-mile nature trail (go 5.8 miles south from the Sea Gypsy, then take poorly marked left turn opposite the Key Place turnoff).

Great little place for a good price

The sea gypsy is in a great beach location with the tide pools just down the beach and the world's shortest river right next door. This second floor room is perfect for a weekend beachcombing and hanging out. We enjoyed it very much!

A great get away

The location is great! Getting check-in information was great. We stayed here last year and mentioned to the owner that the flooring was in rough shape. It hasn’t been fixed. The pergo flooring is lifting up. You can’t go barefoot or even wear socks—it pinches your feet and chews up your socks. There is mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom and the toilet constantly runs. Next time we will find a different unit at the Sea Gypsy.

A pleasent place to stay

This place was perfect for me and my boyfriend's beach getaway. We enjoyed its beautiful view and short distance from the beach. I think it could use a few more kitchen utensils but other than that it was a great pleace to stay.

Beautiful Place to Stay

Overall, a very good experience! The big windows with the ocean view were amazing, and the little condo had all the essentials. We really enjoyed our stay here! I did feel that the rental process itself was not amazing. For example, although I made the reservation through VRBO two months in advance, a rental contract was emailed to me by the owner only two days before our arrival. Not fun to deal with reading that and finding a way to sign and return it while we were already on vacation, and it seemed a little "wrong" that it was sent well after any cancellation deadlines had already passed. The contract said that "the entry code and unit number will be texted a few days before arrival," but the entry code was actually not sent until I had already arrived at the property (on schedule) and texted a request for it. All of this made me more than a little nervous! Plus, some of the info in the rental contract itself was inaccurate, apparently because the owner uses the same contract for all of their units and our unit was a bit different from the others. The owner did respond to texts very quickly.

Great ocean front property

This is a very cute and comfy place. Loved the ocean front windows. Speedy communication and resolution to the one issue we had. Yes, there are some stains on the carpet but it still appeared to have been vacuumed thoroughly. The bed is comfortable; we didn’t use the pull out. Loved being by the D River. This is a great spot!

Loved our final accommodations

Overall it was great, however the first place assigned to us was nice except the carpet was filthy. We were moved to second place after complaining, were assigned different accommodations and they were excellent. A pleasure working with Patty to resolve these issues.

I will stay here again

Beautiful view! The bed is very comfortable. (Some other places I've had to go out and buy a mattress topper). It was wonderful to open the window and listen to the ocean. Next vacation, I will be quite interested in coming here again.

Perfect ocean view

Loved the large window to watch the ocean waves. Took 2 long walks each day on the beach. The condo was perfect for the two of us. Easy check in and the host was friendly and quick with responses. Will book again.
