We loved the location of the cottage. It was near everything we did this week. It was very clean and just what we needed for the two of us. We would have breakfast in the cabin, go exploring during the day and then came back in the afternoon for pool time and dinner. I would have given it 5 stars but the bed was right up against the wall so for two people it was difficult to get in and out of the bed; not really sure it could go anywhere else though. I also would have liked a path down to the river to explore it but it was very rocky. Maybe an improvement for the future. I also would have liked a mirror above the toilet so I didnât have to squeeze next to the wall in the bathroom to see myself. We did have a great trip exploring the area and the little cottage was great. We did the Lost River Gorge Cave/hike, ate and shopped at Downtown Woodstock (must eat at 5 Main on the River) and rode the gondola up Loon mountain for church (Sundays at 11) and glacier caves. Amazing!
The only disappointment was the lack of local restaurants open. Apparently most restaurants in the area are closed for a two week window around this time of year. You may want to mention this in the ad and propose options that are open.
We love these little cabins and have stayed in Lincoln to hike for years. We hated to give up our old place.
But we loved this one more. It's a great place and super easy to access. The Internet is a bit too far away to get any work done. But still, we will be back.
The cabin is located in a convenient location, a brief drive from most of the white mountain trailheads. There is a lovely river behind the cabin and the fireplace makes the place feel quite cozy. The only complaint was that the fireplace felt pretty bright when asleep.
Loved the quiet and the cabin was lovely. Would have stayed longer if we knew how much we enjoyed it there but it was already booked ahead of time. We will be coming back in the future.
