This independent hotel is brilliantly situated, with excellent rooms- both common and bedrooms. Staff invariably friendly. The place is spotlessly clean, and breakfasts are first class- indeed can easily be cooked to order.Car park capacious, particularly for the centre of the city.
That said, we did find our bed unusually hard, as were the pillows. If some softer beds ARE available, it would be good to be able to opt for one! One other quibble:no electric shaver points in bathrooms, not even in the gents loo. And with the sole lift out of order, no offers to help carry cases upstairs...
