We liked the location and the room was nice and clean. The personal are very pleasant. But, the first thing i saw when i step in was a messy and dusty hallways full of dust. I understand they are in renovation, but first impresión count a lot.

We had an absolutely wonderful post-cruise stay at Casa do Principe! This was our second stay here in three years and we look forward to returning! We are talking classical old-world charm here, a taste of royal elegance, high ceilings, hardwood floors and (be sure to look up) ceilings that are works of art! We enjoyed a very nice breakfast in a very charming room! The location was great ... a lovely park across the street and a 20-25 minute walk to city center or the water front, never mind the hills / down out the door, uphill on your return! The staff is outstanding, especially Antonio at the check-in desk! He greeted us upon our arrival and was most accommodating, answering all of our questions and offering guidance -- all things Lisbon!

Really enjoyed the area and the room. I was worried that the busy park outside would keep me up, but the room is actually very quiet. The area has a lot to offer very walkable and close to shopping and food.

Save The Plate Collection!

It is a great location, overall very pleasant experience....until we were abruptly woken up 7:30 AM by loud construction! It was a true ensemble of hammers, drills and power saws!!! We expected a warning or at least a discount but they did not agree to ANY concessions or adjustments in price. They said it was the next building, really it's the same building that they share a wall. They didn't think it was a problem, yet they took down their own plate collection in fear of them being knocked over from the noise vibrations, ridiculous!!!

Staying at this historic hotel in Bairro Alto was an unforgettable experience. The building is full of charm and character, beautifully restored while preserving its original details. Our room was elegant and comfortable, with stunning views over the city. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Lisbon’s best cafes, nightlife, and viewpoints. The staff were warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay special.

My visit was short. I felt very comfortable being a solo woman traveler. Antonio was great with assisting whatever I needed. The only thing is that there was construction which woke me up every morning. Not sure if that was a good or bad thing.

This bed and breakfast is historic and by no means modern, but is very charming and the large rooms, along with the friendly staff more than make up for it. The location is great with plenty of food and shopping options nearby. Everything was clean and service was great, would definitely stay here again.
