Easy access to room and a manager who is quick to respond and help. Good accommodation and perfect for Anfield as well as access to city. Loads of hot water and up together accommodation.
Even though room was above a pub i didn't hear any noise from it. Very clean and a fantastic shower. Buses to city centre just a couple of minutes walk away.
No parking . Moved the checkin so we couldnât get in before the game . Drove around looking for parking was not happy leaving the car in the area on the street didnât feel safe . So never checked in just drove all the way back to London .
Sorry but I cannot recommend. The trouble with no reception is no-one to sort your issues. The hotel lists Parking but the reality is its a case of driving around the local area looking for a space -we eventually found one 10 minutes away next to a car whose wheels had been removed so funnily enough I spent the night worrying about my car. Room was clean and tidy, beds were comfortable but the toilet seat wasn't connected properly and slid whenever it was sat on, no soap or shampoo, -and when we tried a shower the next day we had two choices - boiling or scalding so we had to abandon - no one to talk to about it and no point in calling the mobile number at 7.00am on a Sunday when we were leaving shortly afterwards. Shame, because if it was maintained properly it would be Ok.
The Flat Iron is an exceptional place for the area and especially for those interested in Anfield or attending a Reds game. Check-in directions were easy to follow and although there is no front desk (contactless check in) the manager is very responsive with calls and questions. The room was spacious and has everything you need. There is a modern bathroom with an open walk in shower. The water is plenty hot and maybe too hot for some. I had difficulty getting it to cool down with the knob. The room has tall ceilings and giant windows that open for excellent air flow and being able to hear the hustle and bustle of the locals (if thatâs your thing). It is within walking distance of LFC Stadium and there is a small pub on the ground floor that has all the appeal of a local supporters watering hole. There are a handful of other places within walking distance for food, otherwise you have to deliver or drive. After dark the neighborhood was quiet but I was still uneasy with going out too far on foot and would caution against it. Also, you have to find your own street parking, which can be tedious with all the parking restrictions.
The Flat Iron is very convenient for any type of event in Anfield - the stadium and several restaurants and the park are all within easy walking distance. Modern rooms in the historic building give it a special charm, and the check-in/check-out process is easy. Staff are very responsive.
We came to liverpool for the Arsenal/Liverpool game. The hotel and staff were great. Hotel clean, property clean. BUT, I am from the USA. We actually left the hotel and did not stay overnight. I said i dont care about losing $200 american dollars. The room doors only have a 4 digit lock code with no deadbolt or chain for extra security. After 4 people tried to open our door unsuccessfully i said thats it, we are leaving. Also if an issue such as a fire on the first floor occurs, we had no way out except our window. In the usa the law is we would have a fire escape out our window but things are different here in England. Again the staff great, hotel and property really clean but the lack of security and lack of options to get out if a fire occurs is what made me leave with my son. For 3 hours after the 4th attempt of someone coming in we put the dresser and end table in front of our door for safety. I said this is crazy. Also with no reception area( did not know this info till AFTER booking) the main entry(red door) had a 4 digit code. Someone came in who had stayed a week earlier and was able to come in. So i guess the code does not change. For the loss of $200 dollars, I didn't care. Cant put a price on safety.
This hotel is so cute and well-maintained and really gives you a warm feeling. The staff were so kind and made sure we felt comfortable. I honestly didnât have as many expectations going in and they surpassed all of them.
It was clean. All of the basic necessities were in the room, along with other things.
The location was very convenient in terms of being a quick walk to the Anfield Stadium. They were very kind and helpful.
Will definitely be staying here again
