Read before you eat

Check was smooth. After that the customer service was bad I tried to ring for room service no one answered so went down to restaurant was told I would have to wait for 1 hour but restaurant was empty went to bar for food. Was given a menu and asked a question answer was blunt and rude Would I stay here again ? Yes for the room only I ended up eating out rather than have bad serve

Not what it's written up to be.

The Hotel is lovely, but there is nothing next to it so for nightlife you must take a taxi about £8.00 each time if you go into the city centre, the meals are not worth the value for money my wife had the ribeye steak and there is no salad or veg with it just a portion of chips cost was £32.00 plus a 10% discretionary fee. So be warned !!!

The room was amazing and definitely outdid the picture's, the food was amazing from breakfast to snacks to dinner and good price. Very disappointed that on day of arrival they had a wedding booked and was extremely busy and feel there should of been prior notice given as even though the wedding party had separate room to party and get drinks they took over the main bar and the carnage left behind at the main bar wasn’t nice to look at all as there was one person having to manage from 9pm onwards. It took a long time to get a drink and appreciate there was a second bar in the restaurant part but felt should be able to enjoy the lobby area bar with drinks if didn’t want the restaurant vibe. The spa use was okay but also very disappointing that the thermal foot bath wasn’t working and asked twice about it and was told someone would come have a look but nobody ever did and even two more people asked and was told the same but nobody ever came to check this out and this made me feel customer service wasn’t the forefront in this department.

A beautiful hotel

We booked for just the one night, as an anniversary get away. We were surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a superior suite, which was huge! The room was quiet, other than the air con unit, which sounded like a light aircraft! The bathroom screamed luxury, with a large shower, double sink and freestanding bath tub. Staff were friendly and keen to help. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel, as a whole was just amazing - I’d love to try the spa next time! The only thing that stopped me giving an overall 5 star rating was the fact that there was a wedding reception taking place; although the function room was separate, guests were wandering all through the bar area. So as we were having a quiet night cap, the loud, drunk women walking to and from the function room spoiled the quiet atmosphere in the bar. I was disappointed that the staff didn’t intervene in the best interests of the other guests.

Relaxing break

Perfect venue for a relaxing break. Excellent spa facilities including the treatments. About 30 minute walk into the city so close enough for a night out. Staff are excellent and very helpful. Even the smaller rooms have loads of room to move around and the room was immaculate. Breakfast was excellent.
