Welcome to Cardinal Cabin – a peaceful, three-story retreat tucked into the woods, offering comfort, seclusion, and easy access to both Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest.

With two full bathrooms and three separate sleeping areas, the cabin is ideal for families or small groups. The main floor includes a private queen bedroom; the open loft features a king bed and twin bed; and the lower level offers a twin-over-full bunk bed and a sleeper sofa, along with a second cozy living space.

The main living area features vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace, and an open layout that flows into a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. The lower level also includes a wet bar and mini fridge. Wi-Fi is available throughout the cabin.

Step outside to enjoy the 6-person hot tub on the upper deck overlooking the wooded hillside. A 4-burner Blackstone griddle and outdoor fire ring make it easy to enjoy meals and relax outdoors.

Need-to-Know Info:

The cabin is located on a gravel road that is slightly steep, bumpy, and winding but manageable for most vehicles. During winter weather, AWD or 4WD may be helpful. Snow removal is professionally handled as needed.

The cabin uses well water. It is safe to drink, but guests who are sensitive to taste may prefer bottled water. A refrigerator filtration system is also available.

Cell service is generally good for AT&T and T-Mobile, and fair for Verizon, though occasional dropped calls can occur.

Less than 5 minutes from Wayne National Forest and about 20 minutes from Old Man’s Cave and the Hocking Hills trail system, Cardinal Cabin offers a great balance of convenience and a quiet wooded setting.

Directions were great! Host gave very prompt responses before and during our stay. The cabin was very tidy. Be sure to bring mixing bowls and baking pans, if needed. Great water pressure in showers and plenty of hot water!

Found a live roach. Told the host. He said it was a wood roach. Next morning my 2 year old was playing next to the kitchen table. Another roach. This one was dead. So i looked under the fridge and stove.. found dead roaches and roach poop everywhere. The host told me bugs make their way inside and they dont have a roach problem.... look at the pictures and tell me what you think..... we got refunded but had to find somwhwere else to stay the rest of our vacation and the whole time we were there it felt nasty and dirty.

The property is beautiful. I have never been camping before and I would have to say this was definitely a great experience. The cabin was clean. They made sure the hot tub was clean and ready for use. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. If you decide to stay out there make sure you check out Old Mans Cave and Ash Cave. Also walmart for necessaties.

Had a fun stay with some friends and explored and hiked a lot The area and the cabin was beautiful and very calming. The caves were a cool site to see! Wish the cabin had Wi-Fi though and some signal but other than that it was nice.

Beautiful cabin

The cabbing was as described. I highly recommend it. I recommend putting a longer shower curtain in the basement bathroom. The one in there is too short and the water goes on the bathroom floor when taking a shower.
