Some of the hot items on the breakfast buffet were dry. I think they had been prepared much earlier and dried out in the warming case. Other than that, everything was fine.
The breakfast was the worst we have had. The French toast was as hard as a rock and had a terrible taste. The egg was cold and tasteless.
We were very surprised by the $75 pet fee. For a 19 pound non shedding dog, that price is outrageous. It should be based on dog size or a flat $25 fee like many other hotels.
Overall, property was in good condition and felt like a safe and clean environment. Had an big issue with our room (408), and our friends in another room (423) had same complaint. The smoke detector in the ceiling flashed a blue/green light every 30 seconds ALL NIGHT LONG! I can tolerate a lot of things in a hotel room, but I do expect a dark, quiet room in which to sleep. That would be the main requirement, I think. I can't imagine what possessed Hilton or this location to install flashing smoke detectors in a hotel room. Crazy and very annoying. What if a guest has seizure issues or PTSD? You will could incur big liability with that flashing light! Replace them ASAP or expect to lose bookings to Holiday Inn, which I'm sure doesn't have strobe lights in their rooms.
The hotel and rooms were clean and well kept. The bed and bedding was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was standard. If we ever go to that area again, we would consider staying there again.
