Basic small room at very good location

It's a great location for staying in central London within a short distance to the tube, buses, and shopping. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The room was beyond basic and very small. The shared bathroom may not be for everyone. Beds were clean and comfortable. We spent little time in the hotel, so it was OK. Otherwise, I would have rethought my choice.

You get what you pay for with the rooms. They need a bit sprucing up and the beds needs updating. Besides that, rooms were very clean and came with everything you need for the weekend. The TV with Netflix was a godsend for a tired child at the end of the day! Transport links are near the hotel are great! Theres multiple underground stations only a few minute walks away that take you right up the landmarks, the west end etc in minutes. Hotel was quiet and even outside was silent at night which i found surprising as we stayed the weekend all the new uni students moved in down the street. Not a sound and I had the window open. The shared bathroom is extremely clean and semsbto be restocked and cleaned down frquently. The breakfast was lovely, its was my family's favourite part of the stay! Staff let us leave our bags after we checked out as well so we could explore London more before our coach came. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. The only thing that made me uncomfortable with this hotel was that while we were out the maids had let themselves into our room too refill the teas, coffee and biscuits without our knowledge. We didn't leave the hanger on the door asking them to do so. We found that they had folded all our belongings up and tided all our clothes into our suitcases. This may seem nice but, to us it felt like an invasion of privacy. We had left alot of our belongings out.

The location was central. The man on the desk as we were leaving this morning was very helpful. We did not hear in advance about the subway strike. He helped us get a cab that got us to Heathrow on time.

I'll be back!

I like the area and it's easily accessible from the Piccadilly line which is important to me. It's also easy to get to from the Elizabeth line but coming in from Heathrow the fare on the Piccadilly line is less than half what you pay on the Elizabeth line! On this trip I had a pleasant pause at Russell Square Gardens on the way to my room from the train

My kids and I had a wonderful stay at the Arran. Location coild not be bettered for aalking about to the British Museum and anto the National Gallery and the West End. The Arran Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast included is really good too. I can thoroughly recoomend a stay here. Thank you all at the Arran House.
