I chose this property because of transport convenience and price. Underground & train station are 2 minutes walk away, supermarket is right next door. Abbey Wood is a depressed and depressing location (apart from the beautiful woodland & ruined abbey nearby) - but this is not the property's fault. Apartment needed more kitchen items - knives, teaspoons, crockery. Carpet in main bedroom is quite damaged & there were minor maintenance & cleanliness issues. There is no on-site carparking at the moment (fortunately I didn't need it). Overall the apartment was safe, had good kitchen and laundry appliances, and was good value for money.
"Please tell me how we access your property"
Phone call 10 min later: "sorry, we don't do one night stays - due to people arranging parties. What was your plan?"
Well of course in the booking (done more than 2 weeks prior) I told them 2 adults and 2 children - hardly a recipe for a party.
Nothing anywhere on the advert says anything about the restrictions. And Hotel.com processed the reservation without any hesitation, apparently unaware of the self-imposed limitation.
So I don't have any knowledge of the place, not the parking or the location (seems to be quite nice), but I slept in my own bed with my wife - loved it all the same, after enjoying a lovely visit with Dinosaurs at Jurassic World @ Excel in London.
We would love to have stayed the night at "Stunning 2 bed apartment with parking", and gone to the new Ocean Basket in Bromley the next day for lunch.
Carefully orchestrated family event utterly spoiled.
