The hotel was in a great location for the reason I was visiting London. The reception staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room that we stayed in was small, which is what we expected but it was hard to move around the room when both of you were there. You couldn’t pull the chair at the mirror out any distance because the bed was in the way. Similar in bathroom - barely any space. But all entirely functional. Overall pretty clean, though the carpet did look a bit grubby unfortunately on closer inspection. Fine for one night.

Large modern hotel with lifts and restaurants. Fabulous location in Bloomsbury across from leafy Tavistock Square. Great sleeping—dead quiet, big comfortable bed

Room 627 ; Clean room but very tight space too much furniture Bathroom had broken tile, one very loose towel hook on back of door and loose handrail in tub shower. Hotel lobby looks nice but room is not elegant at all, big noticeable rip in carpet. Hotel desk services not very knowledgeable about area we had to help additional guest. We stayed there for location. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was well managed, serviced and had many options.

Room was very small, we lived out of our suitcases for 4 days. We found it clean, bed was comfortable. We didn't see a thermostat but, for the time if year was okay as we needed to just open the window. There is no A/C. It was however, close to transit to anywhere. Walking distance to some major historic neighbourhoods. Price was not worth the overall stay.

My husband and I stayed 9 nights at the Tavistock recently and very pleased with the hotel . The location is good , close to bus and tube routes , lovely green parks just minutes away , lots of good pubs . The Poppadum restaurant within the hotel serves an excellent curry and the buffet breakfast had something for everybody’s taste . The staff were always polite and accommodating. A pleasant lounge / bar area that played great music . I regret not getting a bigger room . It was small for that many nights as was the bathroom . I found the placement of the soap / shampoo dispensers in the shower to be extremely awkward . Get a larger room and overlooking Tavistock garden and you will be very happy .

We found the Tavistock Hotel lovely. It was very clean, rooms were perfect. It was the perfect location. The buffet breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay there again

Room was nice except there was no mini fridge. Water dispenser in hallway needs to dispense cold water. No ice machines either. Breakfast was great. Hotel right in City Center. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
