This was my second visit. I love the location next to Tower Bridge, after a busy day of exploring, like going down and relaxing next to the river enjoying the lights on the bridge. However, this trip the fire alarm went off one night about 1am. The hotel failed miserably at providing a safe and organized exit from the building. There were zero overhead announcements. Finally got to the street in front of the hotel entrance, where it was just a disorganized mob. Again, no employees walking around to fill people in on what was happening. Never saw anyone from the hotel. Finally 2 fire trucks pulled up, neither of which seemed in a hurry, so we all just assumed it was not anything serious, but again we could only assume because no input from staff. Finally one of the trucks left, and again no staff that I could see or any announcement giving the all clear. I just guessed when I saw everyone going back inside it was ok to go back to my room??? Such a huge fail in my opinion on the hotel’s part. They need to seriously practice some fire drills because this would have been so scary if it had actually been a real fire. I only heard rumors from other guests it was a lit cigarette butt thrown in a stairwell. But who knows, since again, no communication from staff. Then for the inconvenience of having our sleep interrupted in such a jarring way, would have been nice to have been offered something from the hotel. But it was never acknowledged, just poor customer service.

Beautiful View

No air conditioning, but was offered a fan which helped a little. Tesco store within a 5 min walk for misc snacks/items. The 2 hotel restaurants we tried had the same menu.

Unique London location on the Thames, next to boat services as well as walking distance to London underground and taxi services for access to all that this fabulous city offers. Hotel as great rooms and offers a range of services from rapid food and Starbucks services to sophisticated dining nearby. Very reasonable pricing for London as well as helpful concierge services.

Service in the restaurant was rude and the food came out cold. The TV didn't work properly. It kept turning off randomly and sometimes you couldn't choose a channel from the guide. The phone wasn't working. Went to the desk to check. Told not to use the preset buttons on the phone in the room as they didn't work but to dial the number. No one told me this. Wasn't written anywhere in the room. How would I know that and how would I know what numbers to press. Had to ring and ask twice for more toilet paper. Went to check into room at 4:30pm (well after normal check in time) and after a long haul flight and not having slept for 20 hours and told the room wasn't ready. It wasn't ready until 6:30pm. Booked a room with a view of Tower Bridge. Lovely. When I opened the curtains there was the majestic Tower Bridge. There were also workers right outside my window so obviously I couldn't keep the curtains open to enjoy my bridge view as the workers were able to see right into my room. Very disappointing stay especially the cost of the room.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Tower Hotel. It was a wonderful, walkable area that was very safe and convenient. The staff were EXCEPTIONALLY helpful and friendly - truly impressive how attentive and wonderful every single person was. The hotel itself was gorgeous, and while the room was a bit dated, it was very clean, comfortable, and with the most incredible view. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in London, and I look forward to coming back and staying at the Tower Hotel!

We had booked a double twin room by accident. Front desk noticed at check in and put us in a queen bed room with the most spectacular view of the tower. The attention to little details like that make such a difference!

The hotel was great in many ways but the last star was not given due to our room being in a location that did not allow us to enjoy the little bit of view we had, workers on the hotel entry roof so no privacy. Bed was super comfortable, loved the large towels and the warming towel bars; however, they were not soft, neither was the toilet paper. Also, for being in a room for 6 days, having the mini fridge would have been almost necessary. We felt that because we used the self check in, we were not given a better room.
