Wonderful comfortable fully equipped home in the quiet and amazing Alabama hills. Great location to explore Lone Pine, eastern Sierras, and Death Valley. Our group enjoyed five full days of ADV motorcycle exploring of old mining sites, Cerro Gordo mining town, Lippincott pass, and Bad Water Basin. The ride into Lone Pine though enormous rock formations is a highlight in itself.
Perfect location for a cycling vacation with friends. The house had everything we needed, and the check in and out instructions were complete and straightforward. Very memorable and enjoyable trip, would definitely stay here again.
Jaw dropping sunsets in the mighty Alabama hills with our folks. Epic, memorable times in an epic memorable home. Jill is very helpful and our stay was perfect.
This was a really nice house in an awesome area. Unfortunately, through no fault of the owner, we were under evacuation warning due to a wildfire within sight of the house for most of our stay there, which made for a bit of a challenging situation. We still enjoyed our stay there and would gladly return
We stayed here last year after Christmas and loved it so much we decided to do it again this year. It was another amazing stay. It is a perfect fit for our two families of four (4 adults, and 4 teenagers). The house is in a great area that is quiet and about 10 minutes away from Lone Pine. The views are spectacular (especially for winter) and its a great jumping off spot for exploring the Owens Valley. The property is huge (5 acres!) and great for exploring, the teens rode bikes all over the property and neighborhood. Having the ping pong table is great (yearly ping pong tournament!) and cocktails and games in the living room, warmed by the wood stove. Beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you may need, even a separate ice maker on the counter! The host is quick to respond to communications and was very helpful when our son left his iPad there. She arranged the return with minimal fuss and cost. There really are no cons except maybe the stereo, which we could never figure out so we couldn't enjoy the massive CD collection, but honestly I chalk that up to user error (perhaps an instruction sheet for dummies like us) lol. Overall a fantastic place that we will definitely be using again.
My multigenerational family loved our stay here! The grandparents stayed on the first fl to avoid the stairs and our family was very comfortable on the 2nd fl. The property was amazing and we enjoyed our breakfast around the heated tables. Ping pong and hikes kept the kids busy. Communication with owner was great. Highly recommend.
It was just fine except for the constant threat of a fall while using the stairs .
How you can not put up a handrail is hard to understand ,
We noticed when we first walked in as we are 6 brothers aged 65 to 80 and therefore we would call out to each other upon approaching the stairs to " Be careful on the stairs ".
We would probably not use your home again until we see photographic evidence that they have been installed .Otherwise we were completely satisfied with your home , Thanks , Tom
A great location to explore Mount Whitney or Death Valley National Park! The house was wonderful and the location was amazing in the Alabama Hills. Close to Lone Pine for everything you need, but also away from it all in the mountains with views in every direction.
Very clean, modern, and well equipped. All the
furnishings were new or in near new condition.
We have no complaints and enjoyed our stay.
My only suggestion is I would like you to install a handrail on the staircase for safety.
The views from the house are absolutely stunning! The fire places in both the front and back of the house were a wonderful addition to allow us to enjoy the views in the cold weather. It was close proximity to town, and a great starting point for our jeeping adventures. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around, and the bedroom downstairs was perfect for grandpa to get away from the grandkids at night. The kitchen was very well stocked and there were games and puzzles for entertainment in addition to the ping pong table. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future!
We had such a great time at this home. The views from every window are beautiful and there was plenty of space for all of us to enjoy ourselves (4 adults, 4 children). I loved the decor (I'm a big MCM fan!) and the home was clean and well-appointed. We will definitely be back, as we travel up to the Sierras frequently. Thank you for having such a great home available - we can't wait to return!
