The rollaway bed I requested was delivered in a timely manner. The maid service was very good. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous. The elevator is slow. Unfortunately a guest was smoking in a room and the fire alarm went off in the wee hours waking my grandchildren up, but actually it's reassuring to know that the fire alarm works.

The staff were very attentive however our first night there the smoke alarm went off throughout the building waking everyone up. The fire department had to come and it took close to 45 minutes to get the alarm to stop. Later in the night another alarm went off in the hallway - it took about 30 minutes for that alarm to stop. Staff were apologetic, however compensation should have been offered.

I really liked the hotel. I was here for a wedding. It was comfortable, water was hot. Bathroom was great. My big issue was I could hear the kids in the next room. The walls are not very sound proof. It made it hard to sleep. Otherwise would be a 5 star

Slow service

Service was slow at the breakfast, drinks and overall. I come from the retail industry and this was not good customer service. Waiters never look up to see if you need them.

My Wife and I have stayed here a few times and always have a wonderful time. The hotel is clean, the rooftop pool is great and the staff is fantastic. Especially Kevin at the front desk. We came from Shakespeare in the Park on a stormy night and were soaked and exhausted and he was extremely kind and personable and made us feel so welcome. We greatly appreciated his help and a big thank you to him and all of the staff at Allegria. We will be back soon.

Overall, the hotel was nice, clean, but the room we stayed was dusty, the windows were locked , we weren’t able to open in the morning to get fresh air… The food at the restaurant was ok… the presentation of the food could be better since it is a restaurant… I would not go given second chances.. food and cleanness is my top priority.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Allegria. We loved the size of our room, the spacious and modern bathroom, the wonderful staff, the lovely pool area and the beach access and amenities. We would’ve rated the stay as “Excellent” but we didn’t love the hotel restaurant and we had one day when room service never cleaned our room.

My only complaint is that when you are seated for breakfast, the hostess should tell you the price of the buffet per person before deciding if you want to choose the buffet or see a menu. Online it only says "offers paid breakfast daily", For $30 per person plus tax and tip for a mediocre buffet, I would of rather seen the menu.
