Excellent location and a lovely place to stay - breakfast was fantastic- room 10 is a little small however overall a great place to stay and the staff and owners are terrific
This was the second time there for me and I found what I was expecting: very kind and friendly staff(Becky and Diane), cosy and clean room, delicious breakfast and the location perfect a few minutes from the bus stop and the harbour
The hotel is in an excellent position for everything. The harbour, plenty of shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, lovely walks are all there. There is a âtuk tukâ that takes you back and forth through the village for those with limited walking and a bus runs at the top of the village to Looe and various other places.
You can also get boat trips to Looe and Fowey or half an hour trips around the area.
Itâs perfect for a weeks stay and is a working fishermanâs harbour with an interesting museum about smuggling and bygone times.
We loved Polperro
Lovely hotel in the heart of Polperro. Very friendly greeting by Becky. She was Bubbly and very helpful and informative about the hotel and Polperro. We have mobility issues so when we were told we had bookef the top floor (3 flights) she found us a lower room and helped with the luggae ustairs. Nice room and lovely lounge and breakfast room. It was great to get a drink at the honesty bar and sit on the lovely terrace above the road and watch the world go by. Only downside was that the toilet kept blocking in our room (room 2).
Amazing hotel, very clean and room made up everyday with fresh milk provided. Staff very helpful. Would definitely return again, especially with the parking provided on the doorstep.
Third time we have stayed here. Very convienient, nice breakfast, friendly staff. The let down was Room 12 which has restricted head room which is a particular issue if you wake at night. Was not aware of this when booking though now ive looked at reviews, others have commented on the same issue. Will definately stay again, just not in that room.
This hotel in picturesque Polperro is lovely and very well kept. It was stylish but unfussy and in a great location.
The services, such as the honesty bar, made for relaxed atmosphere whilst feeling well thought out. Free hotel Car parking opposite was a real bonus too.
What an incredible, beautiful and fascinating village too.
Lovely hotel in a fantastic location right in the middle of Polperro. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, breakfast is nice and the room is clean and comfortable
Off peak stay for 5 days. Excellent hotel and service from arrival to departure was first class. Breakfast was varied and cooked extremely well. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Ideal location for walking and having a private car park opposite the hotel is a real bonus. Only thing to note is there are no lifts so cases need to be carried up to your room. Not a problem for us however. Facilities like wi-fi was good also system for getting a drink in the lounge. Staff were excellent. Well worth a visit.
The hotel is on the main street of a pictureque Cornish fishing village and has its own gated car park across the street from the hotel. The narrow street is not noisy because it is 'access only' for cars.
The place is clean and tastefully decorated and is run by the friendly owners and their equally friendly staff.
No food is offered except a very good breakfast menu which is waitress served. An 'honesty bar' is available.
This was our second visit to the Claremont and we would be very happy to stay again if we return to Polperro.
