I used to stay frequently at this lodge that is now just a motel. I love the indoor jacuzzi some of the rooms have, as they are rare now. The hotel used to have 5-star staff at the front desk. The new owners removed the front desk and replaced it with a video screen and a person working elsewhere. There is obvious water leakage throughout the hotel, it smells moldier every time I stay there. It was raining outside, and my window leaked. The carpet felt damp next to the bathroom, and the toilet leaks. The heater in the room blew cold air. And my door wouldn’t shut well. I would have said something to management but there is literally no one here to tell, and I would have a hard time dragging the video screen to my room and pointing at the screen at all the broken things. Plus they may make me change rooms, and I had already settled in and was in just for one night. I wish the old owners still owned the lodge now motel, I feel they would weep seeing all the staff gone and replaced with a video screen. I’m sorry things went to south for what once was a fabulous lodge. I don’t think I’ll be back, not for the leaks and the door, I would have been okay with those as this is an old building; it’s the video screen check in that really, REALLY bothered me. I need a human experience I guess? But more than that, the place needs a person there to manage these things that are breaking down. Housekeeping isn’t enough, they are housekeepers, not maintenance or managers. It’s sad.

Room was dated but clean enough. Service staff was nice and responsive. Beds were comfortable but very skimpy on pillows and blankets. Microwave and fridge were appreciated as well as coffee and flavored water in the lobby. The coffee was actually good! Good location. No registration on site only a kiosk that connected to a live person elsewhere.

I had a horrible experience at this hotel and left the same night. The first red flag was that there was no front desk only a kiosk with someone on a Skype call to check us in. When we reached the third floor, the hallway smelled strongly like body odor and cigarettes and felt very creepy. As soon as we opened our room door, we were hit with a strong, fresh cigarette smell, as if someone had just smoked inside. The room was dirty and unwelcoming. The carpet looked so filthy that I kept my toddler’s shoes on the entire time. My husband even found dry dog food on the floor near the bed, and the TV didn’t work. We tried calling the front desk to request a room change, but the phone in the room didn’t work. My husband had to go back downstairs to the kiosk to complain. At that point, we were fed up, grabbed our child and belongings, and drove home after a long day at Universal Studios. The only positive was Expedia’s customer service, which helped us get a full refund. Cleanliness was unacceptable, customer service was nonexistent, and this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially families. Honestly, it makes me question how the positive reviews for this place are even real.

The room was very clean, the housekeepers were extremely attentive especially Bri, and her mother. Bri had me laughing , with such good care i felt from her. Truly a breath of fresh air. Also the front desk overseas family were extremely kind, professional and made sure all my needs were met

at the checking in online, I am not sure if the young asian girl's problem?, but it was so slow to do every step which was so stressful, but when switching to a different lady, it came out to be really quick and professional, thank god! other than that, it was reallly nice experiences, such as nice king sized bed, bath, and table for computer works...etc
