Beautiful property with super nice, accommodating staff — service was top-notch, and they even upgraded us after a small room issue. Pools are fantastic, and the swim-up bar has great drinks and quick service. The big drawback is the food. Most of it is disappointing, with the buffet being the only halfway decent option (and even then, choose carefully). Taco night is good. The specialty restaurants are a waste of time — the Italian was the worst I’ve ever had, and the Asian wasn’t much better. For a good meal, head into San Jose where the food is amazing. This hotel really needs to consider getting a new executive chef because if the food situation was fixed, they’d have a real great resort that I would return to.

The staff was friendly at Crystal Grand and cater to your needs. The front desk assisted with our Customs scanned form we received at the airport. She assisted on their computer and made paper copy for us. It was nice to have Expedia Rep. Omar on the property. Even though the flight and transportation ran late. Omar double checked our itinerary and picked up the phone in front of us and communicated all our transportation times and communicated any changes. This made all the difference stress free piece of mind.

The rooms by the BelAir building are dirty same thing with the elevator is dirty and it has poor maintenance . The access to the Kristal restaurants is not very convenient. Staff was very nice food was ok .

Nice pools and access to beach! Italian restaurant was our favorite - must try! Breakfast buffet was our favorite at the main buffet. We got upgraded to ocean view room so that was nice. My kids enjoyed the kids club/room. Loved the mini fridge which was restocked everyday. Omar who handles the Expedia customers was nice, friendly, and accommodating. Thank you! The lunch and dinner buffet was not our favorite. The Asian restaurant on property was very salty!

Pro tip: Get the Altitude Swim Out suite, best room on the property. The food options are great, skip the buffet and dine at The Grill and Risotto instead. Those two are the best tasting restaurants among all. Overall, our 4 night stay was a pleasant experience, and I want to sincerely thank Gabriel from the hotel concierge for reaching out to us and making sure we are having a great time. He absolutely went over and beyond to ensure our comfort and experience is his top priority, our trip wouldn’t have been the same without his arrangements so thank you so very much.
